I have been extremely happy with this lens. It basically takes the place of several primes, and since there is not yet a 40mm prime available for L mount, I am able to use my favorite focal length with the quality expected from a prime lens. Excellent sharpness, color, contrast, etc in both stills and video. Bokeh is pleasing, and the f2.8 aperture is plenty fast. The included lens hood is sometimes difficult to remove, but not a deal-breaker. No stabilization either, but the IBIS of the Lumix S5 makes up for that. This is an excellent little lens. I’m using it on my Leica SL and it functions perfectly. Much smaller than the 24-90 Leica in both size and cost. I’d say it has 90% of the optical quality and 75% of the mechanical quality but at about 20% of the expense. Using this together with a Sigma 100-400 makes for a semi-compact do everything kit. ... show more

Great photography lens, but as for video the auto focus isn’t the fastest with these. I use a Panasonic S5II and it wasn’t quick to pick up the subject. Overall a great lens though one you get past the poor auto focus
