I used this top quilt on a 3-day hike, and it performed admirably. One night, temperatures dropped to 14 degrees, and the next night to 23 degrees. I wasn't 100% warm, I remained comfortable enough to manage through both nights. At 14 degrees, I was perfectly warm until about 4 am. The head box design is excellent, providing additional warmth and comfort. This quilt is an outstanding value for the money. I've also tested it on several summer backpacking trips and appreciate how I can keep it next to me in the tent and pull it over my head when temperatures drop to the 40s-50s. I opted for the higher fill rate for better performance in lower temperatures. It's a bit too warm for temperatures above 60 degrees, but it's lightweight and compact. I particularly like that the outer fabric is thicker than other down sleeping bags I own, which helps retain warm air effectively, almost like a dry bag. It also retains less moisture from perspiration and respiration and resists tent condensation better than my other bags. This thing is awesome. With the hand cozies it wraps and seals from drafts well, despite not having straps. I'm 6'2" and fit in the hood comfortably, though that's probably about the max height that will fit. Nice and toasty. Excellently constructed. I'm extremely happy with my purchase.

Tried it on several summer backpacking trips. I like how I can have it next to me in the tent when I go to sleep and pull it over me when it gets in the 40s-50s. I got the one with the higher fill rate for the lower temps. It’s a bit too toasty when it’s above 60 degrees. It is light and small. I like that the outer fabric is thicker than other down sleeping bags I have and as a result it keeps the warm air in, almost as well as a dry bag. I also find it to retain less moisture from perspiration and respiration, and it doesn’t let water droplets from tent condensation to seep through as easily as my other bags. Used this top quilt this week on a 2 day hike. One night it got down to 16 degrees and the next night 20 degrees. Both nights I stayed comfortable not 100% warm, but doable. The night it got down to 16 I was perfect until about 4 am. Love the head box.

I didn't know if I would like a quilt. I am a side sleeper and move alot in my sleep. This item is the best thing I have owner. I have been a backpacker for years and never like traditional sleeping bags. This is light weight, warm, and comfortable. Never looking back. Great item.

I took this on a 6-day Appalachian Trail trip. It is lightweight, packs down extremely well and kept me warm. The temps never got below mid-50s, but it was a bit windy. I would definitely recommend it.
