*This is a HONEST review from a real buyer! I read reviews about everything before purchasing and I often feel mislead.. I hope that my review can help someone else who may be having the same issues or sleep in the same strange position as I do* After suffering a neck and shoulder injury in early January I've spent the whole year and a ton of money searching for and testing anything and everything to provide even the slightest bit of relief. Finally my search has ended thanks to this pillow! I am an avid side sleeper and although medium to hard pillows are recommended, my whole life I have gotten away with the big soft fluffy pillows with no problems at all, that is until my injury. On my 2022 pillow hunt journey I've tried pillows made of all different things, shapes and sizes and each one seemed to be worse than the last and almost all of them (although the claim to be medium) are so hard I swear you can knock someone out with it. The Sidney pillow was one of the first to go in my cart but I kept putting it off due to some of bad reviews I read (particularly the chemical burn ones) and ended up going for more expensive pillows. HUGE MISTAKE! Finally I was in such extreme pain, sleep deprived, desperate and seen this pillow could arrive that night so ordered it and ordered 2 other kinds of pillows as well just incase.. Sidney pillow showed up around 4 am I immediately took it out of the package threw my own pillow case over it and tried laying on it right away before it fully expanded. There was a slight smell but I didn't care I had no patience and I just wanted sleep. After a few minutes I decided to add more stuffing (because it had not yet expanded fully) and layed back down and FINALLY got some sleep. When I woke up I did remove some of the stuffing and put it back in the bag and left the pillow to lay out with both the cover it comes with and my own off for the remainder of the day and occasionally fluffing it. By bedtime the smell was gone and it took just a little fluffing to get it how I wanted it and then I drifted off to the land of nod. The sidney pillow is what I would consider a "medium" pillow. Not so hard you feel like your laying on a rock but not so soft you have no neck support and falling into it. The slight curve in the pillow may not look as though it would make that big of a difference. I personally underestimated the curve lol. Now I can't imagine using a pillow without that curve. Ive tried many contour pillows but they are always so hard and they dont properly support the curve of my neck as they are to high and seem to be more for back sleepers. I never sleep with my pillow laying horizontally.. I like to sleep on my right side with my right arm upwards and underneath my pillow and kinda hug it. Normally this makes me need two pillows one to hug and another to lay my head on but that needs constant adjustment as I move or there are L or J shapped pillows but those do not provide enough pillow to hug on the longer leg side of it plus they take up a lot of space in bed. So if you sleep like me, the curve with the Sidney Pillow allows you to perfectly form around it and the pointed corner ends wraps under your neck and head and around your shoulder giving the extra support normal rectangular pillows do not. After the first time sleeping on it I already felt less neck pain when waking up. After 3 days zero neck pain or shoulder pain upon waking up. Of course as the day goes on depending what I'm doing the pain starts to creep back up on me but with the help of this pillow I'm easily and comfortably able to get to sleep each night. No more tossing and turning all night, no smell after airing the pillow out and allowing it to expand properly and no chemical burn which was my biggest fear cause I have super sensitive skin. I do not feel the cubes of stuffing as others said through the pillow case when I lay on it or even by running my hand over it. The cubes are very tiny and in no way jabbing at your face lol. It does take a little fluffing at first but I have not needed to constantly fluff it or had issues with it losing its shape. In fact the longer I've used it the better it has gotten as it has molded perfectly to me and my bodies natural curves and where I need the support. I know going off others reviews is difficult when it comes to pillows because everyone is different and sleeps differently but I truly think this pillow could be the one for just about anyone as it's easily adjustable to your liking of firmness and it molds to you and your body and sleeping position rather than the permanent pre cut and shaped you see with other pillows. I definitely recommend this pillow just be sure to remove the pillow case it comes with and allow it to air out and occasionally fluffing it during this process to release the fumes and help it expand properly. You may want to play around with the amount of stuffing you want in it to find what is best for you but don't lose patience if the first night it's not perfect because the more you sleep on it the more it will form to you and your curves. It truly becomes a pillow that seems as if it was molded just for you. I also don't recommend using it as a pillow you lean against in bed when sitting up reading or watching tv because that will change the form it has built for your individual neck, head, and shoulders.

I never thought i would spend this much on a pillow, but so glad i finally did! 3 Nights so far with this amazing pillow and I'm comfortable all night, and waking up without headaches or neck pain. Easy to "fluff" up or form to your liking. The extra foam is a great idea and it is well made. Just read and follow their instructions upon opening the pillow packaging. Any "new foam" odors dissappear quickly after a day of airing out, during which it completely fluffs out. For me this is completely worth the money to finally get a restful sleep!

I never thought I’d write a loving bed-time story about a pillow, but here we are. Once upon a time, there was a picky sleeper (me) who tossed and turned, searching the internet for a pillow that didn't leave me waking up with a stiff neck. Enter the Sidney Sleep pillow, and suddenly, it’s happily ever after. The hero of this story is the adjustable filling. You can customize this pillow to your exact, perfect comfort level. If it's too high, you simply unzip it and remove some stuffing; if you need more support, you cram extra in. Because you can alter the thickness, it supports my neck infinitely more than a traditional, lumpy pillow ever could. The shape and size are also pure magic. When I’m sleeping on my back, it gently cradles my head like a fragile egg. My nickname in high- school was Egghead btw. When I flip to my side, it has the perfect amount of "pillow edge" sticking out for me to hold onto for dear life like a security blanket. The memory foam itself is top-tier quality. Just a quick warning for the next chapter: when it inevitably flattens out over time from you crushing it with your dreams, just toss it in the dryer for a quick spin and it fluffs right back up to its original glory. To wrap up this tale, the outer pillowcase is a wonderful, soft quilted material that acts as a great protective shield. Personally, I slid a satin pillowcase right over the top of my pillow and between the memory foam and the satin, this pillow stays beautifully cool all night long. And so, my neck pain was defeated, the sleep was glorious, and I lived happily—and comfortably—ever after, well.... comfortably at least The end. Go buy these!

This Sidney sleep pillow is 100 times better than all the other pillows! There are 6 super good reasons to get this pillow. First reason is that you sleep up higher. Second reason is that you never wake up with neck pain or strain. Third reason is that you can change the loft situation. The fourth reason is that the pillow is so soft that; I promise you that you will have the best sleep you’ll ever have! The fifth reason is that your shoulders sit up so so much higher than all other pillows and these Sidney sleep pillows are perfect for side sleepers. The last reason is you feel like it’s totally worth for what you paid for! Here’s a a quick look at this Sidney sleep pillow: you feel like you’re lying on cushion. Before I had a pesky pillow! It was so yucky it looked so brown, so yucky that I really was wishing for a new pillow for a long time. Mom found Sidney sleep when she was trying to find a pillow for herself so we talked to daddy about getting a pillow and once we did, mom got me a pillow right away. SIDNEY SLEEP! 🤩 you can see a picture of the pillow in comparison in the first photo. But I went through three Sidney sleep pillows though. The first one I got a Sidney sleep pillow I washed the cover, which I DON’T recommend you do! Our washing machine is not too good so it got old looking, so Mom got me a new one. The second time it was all by accident! I one time accidentally put superglue on the white Sidney sleep cover I got so I would not have to wash the cover part so I could just wash the pillowcase. You will see it in the next photo down below. 👇 so I was in bed and I accidentally glued the case to the real pillowcase bamboo pillowcase and it got a big hole that you’ll see in the third picture! So I bought a new Sidney that you see in the first picture up against that old smelly Pillow. Hope you enjoy Sidney!

This pillow system is the best! I love the customization, support and softness. I decided write a review after almost a year of constant and exclusive use to give a honest feedback. I never had an issue with neck pain, which is a first for me. I held on the my favorite old pillow just in case and found I didn't need it after the first week. I have since thrown it away after about 5 faithful years of solid wash/dry/use. I usually have to acclimate to a traditional, store bought pillow ($10-60 ones that claim they are for back/ side sleepers ) and the pain usually starts after the first night, crescendos over 7 days and then subsides over another week. Never happened with pillow. I let the base and extra filling air out for 72 hours after opening, which I highly recommend. Not tossing in the dryer, which is an option, but I can't see how that will get you the best value for the investment of your most treasured rest to shortcut the process. Just be patient and let it acclimate to the room it will spend the most time in, similar to wood flooring in your home. Because I chose the slower method, I still never have smelled any chemicals or off putting odors. I intially used the pillow as it was originally packaged in order to get a sense of the support for the first 21 days. I determined at that point, I wanted to see what adding the extra filling would be like. Not because I had neck pain, but because I notice I tend to squish the filling to whatever side I am on for the longest amount of time. GAME CHANGER! I have long term support and comfort that bounces back after constant use and learned bunching (I am trying to not bunch under my neck for support. Know that will take time because it is a learned behavior from bad support from other 'back/side sleeper' pillows that don't live up to stated claims). The zipper on the case is durable, even when I noticed I was pushing the filling to one side, it held up. It was never so bulky that your natural sleep patterns won't adjust to and even out. I went through the intial summer heat and the 'second' NYC summer without feeling like my head was cooking. I would not say this particular pillow system offers any direct cooling effect that you will noticeably feel. I would say that, the hottest summer days, with a satin pillowcase, it wasn't as bad as I have had in the past. 80-90 degree heat and heavy humidity, I didn't wake up constantly with my head in a pool of sweat. It is not a "cooling effect" so much as, you don't sweat at all, in an humidity or temperature. It's more like, a reasonable person shouldn't find fault or sweat as much with a box or shop fan. The context of like for like, not a dedicated AC or Temp/Climate control system throughout an entire house is not equivalent. Please, leave room for bias. Especially, in these reviews. I am in an apartment, and treated myself/experimented with this pillow. I love it and will recommend/gift it to anyone I can! Happy resting!

This pillow felt very good but it has a very strong odor to it and i had to repeatedly wash both layers and then wash by hand the stuffing and let it air dry for days. So its great for feel and if you dont mind strong scents

I have been searching for a good/better pillow for a very long time - tried several shapes/sizes/brands and have returned every single one until this one. I've been using this pillow for the past 5 nights and my sleep has improved drastically! I no longer wake up with my neck and shoulders pinched/hurting. I no longer have a headache in the back of my head. And hubby says my snoring is not as bad as it used to be! :-) I am a side sleeper and this pillow definitely keeps my neck from being bent at a 45 degree angle or worse - which makes for a much more peaceful, and pain free, sleep! I really don't leave reviews, it's not my schtick....unless I really like/hate something. I purchased these pillows after looking at a bunch of options with arm holes and other features to help with shoulder pain. I was pretty skeptical since I don't like memory foam pillows, but my shoulders kept folding underneath me while I was (side) sleeping and causing me sever pain. These pillows are very comfortable and supportive. I need a firmer pillow so I added the additional fluff they send and it's the perfect height to keep my shoulders from folding. It's super comfy to keep it inline with my body; with my head at the wide end and I hug the pillow giving support to my other arm. The curve just wraps around tightly so I have good support. The pillow cases are nice texture, but they need to be washed before using, but no additional smells after washing and letting the pillow breath per the instructions.
