Love the unchewable cord. Love that I can set it to turn off after 2, 4, 8 hours. Only issue is that its default setting is level 5 which is VERY warm for a pet. Level 1 inside my pets bed is plenty warm so be sure to adjust the temp down from L5 before allowing the pet to use it.

This heating mattress is not safe for your pet. After having it connected for only a couple of hours on a low setting, it started smoking, burned my dogs blankets, and almost caused a fire in my home.

I have huskies and a husky mix so heat is torture to them. Instead of the heating pad they would prefer an ice block. I ordered the pad just in case my senior dog was interested... he wasn't. So my human husband now uses the pad. My husband HAD a soft heated pad for humans, but our lovely stray husky mix decided that the corded pad was a threat and destroyed it. This is a waterproof pad so it's obviously not going to be as soft and comfortable as the human pad, but it will suffice for now. Due to the protective cord, the husky mix has not been able to chew this one... yet. The pad is easy to function and heats up well. No issues with it so far.

It was smaller than I thought it would be and doesn't get as warm as I'd hoped for an outdoor pet mat. The cats kind of gave up on it.
