I picked this up for my daughter who likes to sit outside and draw scenes from the natural surroundings. Having a nice, spiral bound book is very important to her because of this and having a pad that will not only keep her art in one place but prevent it from ruining the other drawings the book was a great find. Its not a very big, (dimensionally, lots of pages) so balancing it on her lap isn't very easy so she uses a small padded laptop board to keep the entire book stable while sketching. This is not unique to this particular book which is why she already had the board. Overall its a nice sketch book.

This is a great sketchbook for markers. The paper is very smooth and a good thickness. My alcohol ink markers do bleed through the page, but the book comes with a plastic sheet to put beneath the page to prevent bleeding onto other pages in the book. Honestly, I can't imagine any paper truly being 'bleed-proof' so I'm not sure why they make that claim. I did have some difficulty getting my alcohol markers to blend on this paper, but they are not very good quality so it could just be the markers. Overall, I really like this marker pad and recommend it for anyone looking to practice their marker art.
