This cash box is a must-have if you do garage sales or farmer's market. The metal is strong, not flimsy. The tray shifts up when you open it, keeping it attached and yet out of the way from the bottom section. Unlike many other cash boxes you might find at a store, these have a security system for bills to keep them from blowing away when opened. I liked that because it was a windy day when we had our garage sale. It also allowed me to put the bill I was given on top of the other bills while I made change, so the buyer could verify what they had given me when I gave back change. A few times, someone thought they gave me a $20 when they gave me a smaller bill, and having that smaller bill sitting on top of the other bills - which were under the levers - helped verify what had been given. The box comes with two keys to lock it. It does lock pretty well but you sometimes have to turn it a few times to engage the locking mechanism. The carry case it really nice. When not in use, I store it in my garage in my "garage sale kit" and toss a few silica packs in to keep moisture at bay. I really like it and definitely am happy I got it. It beats a shoe box any day.

Not all cash boxes are built equally. I am using this for a charity I work with, we have several cash boxes. Not all set up to handle bills and coins well. This cash box is set up like a cashier tray. Locations for the normal denominations of bills and coins. The box is heavier than others I've used. It is built with thicker metal walls and is pretty sturdy. The bills have spring loaded clips that hold the cash securely. A little more strongly than I expected. As the product shows the coin trays can be removed which is really well thought out to dump and count coins. One thing I wish the box had was a latch over the lock. Sometimes I don't want to lock the box but do want to close and latch it so I can carry it about.

Super impressed with how well built this is and how good it looks. Sturdy construction and a beautiful glossy finish with a retro style that reminds me of days gone by. I like the way you can move compartments around and kind of semi-personalize the box for whatever use you’d like. Cash prongs hold the money down well. Key lock works well, too. Plenty of space for a good amount of cash, coins and even other valuable items you might like to store. I didn’t try out the fire resistance aspect, but from the looks of it I think it will hold up to a good amount of heat. The carrying case is a really nice extra touch and keeps the box from getting scratched up.

This cash box does an excellent job holding all values of money in place. It's even has additional space behind the cash tills. The lock is sufficient. The box is made of a nice heavy duty metal that is not easy to dent. My only drawback for this cash box is that coins do not stay intact if the box is tilted sideways... With this said there is a handle on top of the metal box for carrying.. but when you place it within its protective bag to carry the handles were made on the upper portion which forces you to carry the box sideways, and dumps all of your coins out. It would have been better if the handle on the carrying case had also been made on the top... It would not look as sleek, however it would at least keep the coins in place. I plan to attach my own handle there for this reason. Other than that this is a pretty swell cash box, that's easy to use and easy to transport from place to place.
