This kit was great and a lot larger than what I was expecting even though it was exactly the size as it described. One of the features I really enjoy about this kit was the pop up easel. It was super thought full that there were clips to make it easy to hold the paper that was included in the kit. It also came with two different coloring books that were a huge hit. All the different options to color with were really exciting to choose from for my kid. They liked the markers and the ruler the best. I also liked that it came with eraser and pencil sharpener so you had all the tools you needed to get to making art. The only thing that could have been improved was the directions for the origami animals. It was hard for myself to follow including my kid. I would recommend this kit to my friends. ... show more

Overall a nice set of art supplies of decent quality. However, for the price, it would have been nice to have at least two paint brushes and two pencils instead of only one each.

I've been getting art kits for my nieces and nephews for years, this one is really great! It comes with crayons, markers, colored pencils, oil pastels, water color paints. They added 2 coloring books. And it has a built in easel, which is amazing. They also included some plain paper, stickers and other small little craft things. This art set was ordered for my nine year old, and so she has provided her review below :) This art set is great! The markers work well, but you can’t layer the colors without a bit of the marker coming off. The pens also work well, but similar to the markers, you cannot layer the colors. The colored pencils work great, are really good for shading, and the set comes with many different colors. The only problem is that they are a little small. The glue sticks very well, and you don’t need to use that much of it. The origami instructions are easy to follow and the result looks amazing. The oil pastels work very well and there are a vast variety of colors and shades to choose from. ... show more

This kit has so much to offer and it allows for pack up of the art supplies at any time and I love that. So instead of having them all over the place, my daughter can pack up her kit and drawing books, and unpack it to draw wherever. The quality is definitely what I expect for these jumbo size kits but I’d say it’s better than the kits I remember as a kiddo. Even the markers and pencils seem higher quality. This is a great little set! It is clearly designed for smaller children. The colored pencils, markers, etc. are all undersized. That being said, oil pastels are an odd choice for the recommended age of 3+. I would not, without preparation, give a 3 year old oil pastels, But for older kids, preferably with a smock of some sort, this would be great. There are 2 cute coloring books; one appears to be fruits & vegetables, and the other animals. There are also 2 small booklets of blank drawing pages, and some colored paper with instructions for Origami. While we all love some clever origami, again, might be out of reach for the average 3 year old. However, at least in my household, ALL paper is valuable and useful for artwork. So whether its bookmarked for a specific purpose or not, it will definitely get used. There are a lot of other bits and bobs in this kit as well. Pencil sharpener, paints, ruler, paintbrush. I expect my 4-yr old will have a blast with this when he gets it as a Christmas gift. I like that it all folds up into one large (plastic) "book" for ease of portability. So if I don't want my surface begrimed with oil pastels, I can easily pack it up and send him and the kit over to the grandparents house. ... show more

My 6 year old loves to draw. She goes through so many crayons, markers, colored pencils, and oils. While you're not going to get high end products with this set, it will still get the job done. I've paid this much for just a set of markers for her. So for me, the value is definitely there with this set. The drawing pads are an extra bonus. I was very surprised at how big and solid this set is. Any young budding artist would be happy to get this...plenty of possibilities! ... show more

When I was looking for an art set, this definitely caught my eye. It has a large variety of mediums, each with it’s place in the case. My nephew is interested in drawing and art, so this will be a great thing to keep him entertained. I like that the case folds to make a two-sided tabletop easel, so his brother can also participate in the fun. It’s everything you need to scribble till your heart’s content.
