This is an interesting shower mat. I don't think it's really designed to be as comfortable as a traditional shower mat. I believe it would be better served as slip protection in a locker room, outside a sauna or hot tub, next to the steps in a pool area, etc. It does not STICK to the tub floor like the kind with suction cups, and can be moved around with your feet if you want to reposition it, but it's very easy to clean, seems very well made, and it's a lot better than a slippery tub floor with no mat at all. It's not the most comfortable to stand on for longer periods of time. However, it does provide great slip protection when getting in and out of the shower tub. I like the strips of rubber grip this has on the bottom, instead of the suction cups that collect water and cause stains that have to be cleaned quite frequently. Overall I'm pretty pleased, but the plastic feeling strips this is made of might not be for everyone.

Although the original one we bought 2 years ago (July 2024) was different seller/brand, this one appears identical to old one. Thick rubber style, no suction cups, tread that hold securely so doesn’t slip easily, and design is wood-like. It is easy to clean and goes stylishly in walk-in tub/shower. We have no issue with rough texture on our feet ( some reviews said did) and actually find it soft. Price is reasonable compared to others. I may buy another to save for future replacement, just in case.

Looks great, not very comfortable though. Very heavy and feels premium, doesn't slide around either. Unfortunately it's just not comfortable to stand on. Maybe it will get better the more I use it or maybe I'm just getting used to it but it's pretty hard.
