For years I've lived with these cheap plastic rings that were hard to use. When washing the curtain getting it free of the rings required painful contortions to free it. These new rings just snap over the curtain rod and the curtain is just hung on hooks - very quick and easy to get the curtain down for cleaning. In everyday use it is easier and smoother to open and close the curtain - the surface of our rod is a little pitted and the old plastic rings weren't nearly as smooth as these. They don't slide well at all and the hooks aren't capable of staying attached to the shower curtain. Don't know why anyone still makes them like this, and I don't know why I thought that someone finally made a simple design change that would actually work.

These hooks are perfect for an outside camp shower. They slide on ¾" pvc pipe before the pipe is inserted into the corner fittings, and won't come off during use. Can only remove by sliding them off when the corner fittings are removed. 12 pack is the perfect number for a 3' square shower.
