  • Great Addition to My Workouts!
Style: 20LBS
This vest has been a fantastic addition to my home workouts. It's my first weighted vest and it really adds intensity to bodyweight squats and treadmill walking. Even simple walking feels more challenging, and it's pretty easy to put on and take off once you get used to it. Just be careful not to bonk yourself in the head or drop it on your toes! The strong Velcro straps keep it super secure during exercise. The vest is comfortable, but it's important to start with a lighter weight and gradually increase. I added too much weight at first and felt it in my shoulders, so definitely lower the weight if you feel any discomfort. This vest is well-made and feels sturdy, just be cautious about scraping it on rough surfaces since it's mesh. It seems like it will hold up well through many workouts. Overall, I’m really pleased with this vest. Highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Very impressed ...so far.
Style: 20LBS
INTRODUCTION: I am a 34 year old U.S. Army soldier in currently stationed in Afghanistan, so you can guareentee that if I am taking time to write a review( down time that I could be using to sleep or write my family)that It will be accurate review based upon actual facts and not emotions. Setup: I received my MiR 20LBS Comfortable Exercise Adjustable PRO Weighted VEST 5 days ago. I bought it new on sale for [...](New year's sale 60% off marked down from 69.99). It took about a week to get here. Shipping cost me more then what I paid for the vest ($29.99), but it's what I expected it to cost for a 20lb package to be shipped to Afghanistan. Results after 5 days(approx. 64hrs of wear): So far I am very impressed with the vest, it fits well and is easy to adjust and seems to be made out of really durable material. I tried jumping up and down rapidly for 30 secs and the vest barely moved. The vest is a little bulky under my uniform but I see that as a small price to pay for increase speed and endurance. I only wear it continuously 12-14 hrs a day but since I only got it five days ago I am taking it slowly by letting my body get use to the weight before I start actually exercising with it on. The only down side I see is the burst of energy I feel when I take it off before I go to sleep. I can't wait to take it on a run! Check back for my update when I start exercising and am able to see what this baby can really do! ... show more

  • Great small profile weight vest
Style: 20LBS
I'm in the military and I'm currently in Afghanistan. I bought this vest about a month ago and it fits great. I'm 5'11" weighing 165lbs and this vest is a pretty good fit. The vest is also pretty low profile so I can wear it underneath my camis without people noticing; they just think I look a bit bulky at most. The only real reason why I gave it a four instead of a five is because the shoulders are a bit rough. I wear the vest for 12 hours at a time during work and my the materials on top kind of rubs into my shoulders a bit; after three days, I had a slight abrasion on the top of my shoulderblades. If you don't wear it everyday, though, it shouldn't be a problem. I also wear it during physical training and it's really snug, allows me to do cardio without the vest bouncing all over the place. However, when I do pull ups and stuff that requires me to reach my arms upwards, the material in the shoulders kind of cuts into my deltoids. It doesn't hurt though, but I assume it'll hurt if you do a lot of jumping jacks or something. All I do to remedy the problem is to roll the material in the shoulders in a bit before I do pull ups, jumping jacks, eight counts, etc. Pros: Snug, doesn't shift around Low profile, can wear underneath military working uniforms Easy to pack away, no clips or unnecessary extra accessories Cons: Shoulders may be a problem if you have a really big deltoids or something My shoulders are a bit raw from wearing it 24/7 Kind of hard to clean the thing Overall: I feel like if I had the materials, I could just sow some kind of padding under the shoulder pieces and they'll be perfect. Also, I've seen reviews on amazon where people said that it's really big and whatnot. The item is adjusted around the stomach, so if you're too skinny around that area, then you are really, really skinny. Like I said, I'm 5'11" and I weight 165lbs, I don't actually know what the circumference of my stomach is, but my waist is a size 30. If those guys mean that it's really loose up top near their chest and deltoids are, then I can see what they're getting at, but I would prefer for that area to be loose because I wear it while doing curls, pull ups, and etc. Having the vest be snug around the upperchest area, where there are no weights, would be really restrictive on arm movement. ... show more

  • For when a brisk 5 mile walk just isn't enough...
Style: 20LBS
I am very pleased with the weight vest. I use the vest exclusively for walking. I do two walks a day, 5 miles each, at a 4 mph pace. Several weeks of research into weights and walking let me to the conclusion that the best (and safest) alternative to adding weight to my walking was a vest, rather than wrist, ankle, or waist. This product offered the best value that I found on the internet in a weight vest. It was shipped quickly, and is a truly a quality product. There are two minor issues that should be addressed: 1: the first time you use this vest, it "may" cause some wear/bruising on your shoulders - wearing two shirts or adding padding in the shoulder area will help with this, until such time as you become comfortable with the way to seat the vest, and to walk with it in such a way that it wont shift with your gait. 2: you will definitely get a great deal of attention by those you pass..."why are you wearing a flak jacket?" was probably the most commonly asked question. One of the funniest moments that I remember in the past month was when someone asked to see the vest. I took it off, and handed it them. Struggling to lift it, they asked me, "how the heck do you walk with this? I can hardly lift it". I just smiled. It occurred to me that I no longer feel that I am really exercising in my walk if I don't have this on. 5 stars, A+, highly recommended. ... show more
