This mattress is nice and firm with a pillow top so its also soft at the same time. Its so thick I had to buy new sheets but we are very happy with this mattress. It supports me much better than the memory foam that it replaced and I am 250lbs. This was a great value for the price. When I opened this mattress there was no smell that I see others talk about. We let this mattress set up for 72 hours as recommended. It never reached the full 12 inch thickness. You can feel every spring in it. It’s got no edge support whatsoever. Overall I’d call it junk. I’m shocked because we have the short queen in our camper and love it but this king we bought for the house is terrible.
