The 8,000 BTU cooling capacity can cool a room up to 350sq.ft. It allows you to adjust the temperature between 60℉ and 86℉ to enjoy a comfortable environment. The fan speed also can be adjusted in cool mode. In dry mode, water will collect inside the unit and must be drained by removing the plug from the bottom of the back of the unit. If the tank is full, “FL” will appear on the display to indicate that it needs to be drained. The unit will stay on low fan speed and maintain a temperature of 62℉. In sleep mode, the fan speed automatically entry into low speed and temperature increases by 2℉ every two hours based on the set temperature, so the noise is no more than 55dB. We can manually control the direction of the air outlet grille. Wash the filter every two weeks to keep the efficiency. Enable us to move the unit from room to toom. Connect the drain hose to avoid the water leak. Does it have to go through a window? Yes. The hot air must be vented out to make the room keep in cold. What's the accessories dimension? I bought this in 2021 and have used it daily for at least 9 months out of the year maybe more because i am so hot natured in live in the south where the mosquitos carry fans it's so hot. I've never had any trouble with it. I think this is a great unit that is really easy to set up. I also like that it has never leaked. The room i use it in is 19 by 17 and it cools it easily. When its 90 outside my room is 65. It takes it about 10 mins when it's 80 outside to get it that cool and when it's 90 or 95 it takes it about 20 or 25 mins but considering the humidity outside i think it's great. I would definitely buy this again and i am very happy i did! One other thing- the remote is easy to replace which i like because i lost the original:-). Every summer this is my favorite purchase. Its a little loud but as someone that is autistic it's not so loud that it bothers me because it blocks out other noises and helps me sleep. ... show more

I’ve been running these units for 2 summers now. Here’s a no frills Detailed Review to Help anyone looking for these types of ACs and is unsure of what to do Okay so I can’t instal window units in my place, landlord doesn’t want it. Fine. So last year I go nuts researching portable AC units. I didn’t want to waste money, I take my appliances seriously. So when looking for “bedroom” units for my room and kids rooms I came across this unit last year. After a bunch of research I decided to give it a shot. It’s was cheaper than others and for the bedrooms I didn’t need one of those giant fancy inverter units. I bought 2 last year. They worked great. Can take a hot humid upstairs northeast bedroom and bring it down to 68 degrees with ease. Fast forward. I just bought a third one this year for my office as I knew I could trust it. And it’s working great. Knowing my history with this brand let me break it down. It’s loud. Floor units are loud but this is noticeably loud. This is the no frills workhorse of floor ACs. You need cooling? You got it? The price is fair. Lower than others and it cools just as good as the more expensive ACs, but that price comes with some noise. If you like noise during sleep or are a heavy sleeper, it really doesn’t matter. If you hate noise when sleeping or are sensitive to changes in noise levels during sleep this one might not be for your bedroom use. It blows air efficiently. Ice cold. The low fan speed setting is perfect I never have to set it to high. It’s easy to use. Turn it on, set the temp. That’s it. No fancy touch screens, if you need an AC that just does AC functions this is it. Setting it up isn’t bad. It’s basically like every other AC in its class. Pull the hose set it up in the window, add some foam and maybe duct tape that matches your window color to keep that tight seal and hot air out. Good to go. Only thing I’ll say negative about the set up is the window kit doesn’t have multiple size inserts so what I did was took the adjustable piece out back and sawed off some inches with a regular old hack saw. Took me 2 mins. Measure your window and if u don’t wanna do some DIY stuff just buy an extra kit with the smaller size in it. Not a deal breaker. This AC is worth it. It’s also small. It’s nice for a kids room where you don’t wanna mess up their space with some giant appliance or like my office where I wanna save space. It’s not the lightest but that’s where the wheels come in, roll it around. Easy as that. I don’t think I’ve ever had to drain these things. Even units that aren’t marketed as self evaporating do self evaporate just as a product of the condenser heating up and the condensation blowing out the hose. So don’t get too hung up on the idea of excess water in it. It’s efficient, most of that waters blowing out the hose. Again. Value for the money on this is great when you’re trying to cool off rooms. Now to end this, if you need to cool an entire open floor plan living room/kitchen. You are going to want a big, powerful, and expensive dual hose inverter unit. Just the facts. Don’t by a small single hose AC unit for a space it’s not powerful enough to cool efficiently. If you have that large of a space look into the more powerful ones from this brand or shop around. I have a very powerful dual hose inverter unit in my living room downstairs. These ACs are my specific “room coolers”. And they do a perfect job. Furthermore this company has been around since the 90s. It’s not some random company that just popped up on Amazon. Funny enough Shineco started out in the world of DVD players back in those days. Bottom line it’s a solid unit from a manufacturer based in China that has been around for a long time. The price is fair. The parts are well made. The unit works great for the use case. I couldn’t find any reviews comparing this air conditioner to a window unit. I’d like to share that I’ve only had my unit for a little over a weeks now but so far I really like it. At my apartment complex, they do not allow window units without a special permission and I didn’t want to go through that trouble so I went ahead and purchased this portable unit, that didn’t take any altering to my window aside from the panel to vent air. This portable unit is just almost just as cold as the kind that sit on the window sill. I was worried that it wouldn’t be the same type of cold but it’s very comparable!!!! I’m so happy it takes about 30 mins the first time you turn it on to completely get cold and work full capacity but after that it’s cold as soon as you turn it on. The remote is very convenient. It was very easy to install. It took me about 20 minutes. the window attachment for the vent has a clip which allows it to hold in place once you adjust to the size/length you need. This made installation so fast and easy. NO TOOLS REQUIRED!!! I will say it is quite noisey compared to other units I’ve used in the past. It can be a bit annoying in times when you prefer no noise. I’ve caught myself a few times needing to shut off the unit because I get annoyed by the noise which is one of the downsides. I just moved to an upstairs room and it gets soooo hot now so I bought this. i need to make sure my dog is ok when I leave for work. This does the job and keeps my room chilly. It’s soooo worth it and the wheels make it easy to move around and it looks of quality. I’ll say it again, this unit is pretty much just as good as the window units. I should have googled the negative reviews more and check about this product before I bought it. I saw the review of a customer in Amazon that the aircon does not last long. I ignored it and went ahead and bought it, when it arrived to me, the item is too heavy and can only be moved using a dolly. It is also too loud. I intended to return it but because it is too heavy, I did not. I purchased the item last week of November 2024. As instructed in the paper that came with it, I religiously clean the filter and always check the container of the condensation to make sure it is not full and the water continuously flow, the aircon is located near the window and in a clear area. My son installed the item, followed all the instructions so from start of turning on the aircon, the aircon has been running fine until first week of May 2026, when the aircon does not put out cold air anymore. I notified Shinco the problem, their response is “ Dear customer, the lifespan of the machine is related to various factors such as the usage environment and time. Generally speaking, the machine can be used for a long time if it is placed as per the instructions. Who buys a $200+ product that does not follow instructions? My son installed the aircon. If my son did not follow all instructions to install the aircon, it should not have been running fine for a year and few months after my son installed it, The usage environment and time and all instructions in the paper that came with it are followed. So obviously, the aircon or the product won’t last long, or the product became defective after certain months of usage. And the company does not acknowledge a product produced that became defective after certain months of usage. The hassle of always watching the water container of the condensation is also a problem. If you are planning to be away from your home for few days or a week, or longer, this aircon is not good for you. The aircon that sits in the window does not require a container for the water condensation, so I would recommend that instead. Another company would be acknowledging a defective product, not Shinco. If I would give no star, I would but there is no way to give a zero star. Only starts with 1 star. ... show more

After 3 months of demanding usage of this unit, its a quality purchase. I use it every day and night, figuring out the exhaust and drainage setup is not difficult, but it is worth it. If you have pets clean the air filter every few days instead of 2 weeks, and I use a water gallon container for water disposal, removing the water every few days.
