Just what the Texas heat/humidity needed. This AC it great. Cools my bedroom, which is pretty good size with ease. East to set up. Low noise, kinda like a quiet hummmmm. Love the remote control. I have it on one side of my room, near the window of course and never have to get up to change temp of speed. I thought draining would be alot, but a use a bliss fabric softener bottle with the drain hose and only have to empty that every2/3 days. Glad I bought this for cool nights and comfort sleeping. it comes with the pipe and window attachment so you don’t have to buy it, it’s grey not black, i got the 12,000 btu not wifi because the higher the btu the more powerful it’ll blow air and cali heat isn’t a joke. it blows cold my vents didn’t wanna open at first but it’s cause the top one wasn’t connected got it fixed. i got it for a single room i’ve seen people tryna use it for a whole house it wont work like that maybe if u get 3-4 depending how big ur house is maybe lol but for a single room it’s great :) i did notice it has scratches fresh out the box but it’s whatever i wouldn’t recommend getting warranty just keep the box to put it in during winter or buy a plastic storage bin from walmart to protect it. i’ve seen the black + decker ones and they are small compared to this one, i’ve also seen other versions this ones huge and it blows ice cold air. It's a decently good unit. If you're looking for a quiet unit this isn't it. It has "1" decibel and it's loud, not in a way where it's over bearing. It also has 2 fan speeds because of the loudness it's hard to tell. But the noise has become my white noise, I sleep well with it . It does blow cold. I have it in a 225 sq ft room and it fills it up quick. It does say to plug drain hose in for it will condense water but I haven't not had any issues with it similar to other reviews. I purchased it when it was "on sale" so I felt like I got a good deal. Id recommend it to anyone. Love the remote...I can lay on my bed and turn it off or on...I'm truly lazy. ;) ... show more

Overall works great and I was super happy with the Prime Day price! Noise- so I’ve worked in hospitality and have seen many PTAC units. This is not silent when it’s on, but for what it is and what it’s doing noise is minimal. A completely silent one would be out of this price range or off. Set up was a breeeze! With the included window kit. Getting the hose hooked up to the window was pretty easy and you just hit the on switch and a few settings and boom your room is cooling. It puts out a lot of cold air- the amount of BTU’s at my price point is where this product gets its value for money. This machine does not make a ton of condensation so emptying is easy and you don’t have to do it super often. Only other minor issue is that you will be well served to get some aluminum tape or something to seal the hot air output hose connections.better. I don’t feel hot air but the small area behind my machine is the warmest spot in my apartment. I do have the hose stretched out so unit is about 1.5 yards away from window. Im very happy with my purchase. I got an insane deal for Prime Day, current price is fair, but high. ... show more

In my opinion this object is pure trash. I bought it because of the wonderful reviews but if you dig deeper into the reviews you will see that the product only lasts a few months. Then it becomes a paperweight. If you check YouTube videos, the comments will show that in the long term after a few months at the most maybe if you're lucky a year it just stops Cooling. I have had other portable air conditioning units last 8 to 10 years and searching YouTube I see that these units die constantly and when you go to the website you have to pay for shipping to have it returned. Do yourself a favor and avoid this product at all costs! I am boxing it up tomorrow and if I could petition to have this item removed from Amazon I would. It may work for some people in the short term but in the long term from what I have seen it dies and there is no way of getting good customer service Amazon is calling me tomorrow to work on a return and I'm simply going to pay for a more expensive product. My 10-year-old Hisense air conditioner is keeping my room at 61° when it is 96 out and this one is keeping it at 85. It Cycles hot and cold air every few minutes and it feels like you're in front of a hair dryer. Poorly designed in my opinion. I have air conditioning units and other rooms that are almost 8 to 10 years old and they work flawlessly. Do yourself a favor check out YouTube for these models and read the comments and you will see that they die after a few months to a year and you will not get customer support. It may work well for a while According to some people but then it is a paperweight as I'm typing this the compressor only stayed on for a few minutes and now it's blowing hot air. The plastic sliding pieces that are supposed to allow you to fit into the window or too long and don't you dare cut it because if you have to return it within the first 30 days of Amazon it may not be returned or accepted. I am boxing this inferior piece of garbage that should not even be sold in my opinion and returning it as soon as possible. Go ahead and check out the lower reviews and you will see in the long term this thing will not last. Shame on Shinco. People are so quick to post reviews the day or week after they get it but do they realize that it's going to die after a few months or a year do you really want to take that gamble? I wonder how many of these reviews are actually legitimate. Try it for a few months see what happens or a year it will stop working heck mine did not even last a day.. Furious I just had spinal cord surgery and moving it into my bedroom was a pain and this is a nightmare. On Google I have heard horrible reviews about their customer service and how to return it so I'm going to be doing so through Amazon as quickly as possible. You get what you pay for!! I can get better cooling from my toaster oven holding it over my head. Earlier it read 85 and then 86 the only reason it went down is because I had my central air conditioner on but I live upstairs in my house in my bedroom and the temperature is climbing. No one wants to sleep in front of an air conditioner that goes from cold to a heater and then barely cools down. In my opinion this thing should not be sold on Amazon. At times when you turn it on it just starts blowing hot air and it does not show you the current temperature in the room unless you turn it off even if you have it at the lowest setting.🗑🗑🗑🗑🗑 it also makes a high pitch whirling noise at times which I can tolerate if it cools, however it does not as I'm typing this the compressor is turned on and off three times in the last few minutes and now I'm sitting in front of a blast furnace. It is properly vented out the window. This is by far the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon however Amazon customer service is great and I cannot wait to get this thing out of my house. The best part of this machine is the auto evaporation system, not having to run a hose into a bucket or out a window make it so much easier to move around and set up.
