Best surf reel I’ve ever used. For its size, it’s light and yet feel very durable. Pulled in a 3 1/2 black tip shark on the beach with no problems. I like that it came with two separate spools. Helps out alot when I’m changing my setup for different size fish.

very lite and well made great balance . i pared with an odm nxfx 1064 1/3-4 oz frontier x . i have had a few surf outfits . this combo is the best by far .big strippers and the occasional halibut will not be a problem .

This reel worked well in the surf. My only problem was finding the right rod for it. I used an 11 ft surf but it needed to be stronger or longer rod. Reel needs to be matched to a high end rod.

Great reel, light, smooth, only problem is bail is weak, feel so flimsy to hold a 20lbs drags , I think they advertised 30lbs drags, I love the weight and the smoothness though

    • Handle starts to turn rough after getting splashed with salt water.

After using this reel for about 2 months, 2 to 3 times per week with a shimano tiralejo 12feet rod. It got splashed with salt water and got wet in the rain while fishing. The handle turned extremely smooth for the first 3 weeks of usage out of the box. After getting splashed with salt water the handle turns a bit rough and the little metal Bearing between the finger grip and the handle has some rust on it. Performs great with small fishes. I’ll do another review when I catch big fishes with it. ... show more
