This is an excellent , precision reel. I use the 3000 for inshore fishing on the Texas coast with a medium or medium light seven foot + rod. . All my fishing is with artificial lures, primarily soft plastics on a 3/16th's jighead. The reel is easy to handle during repeated handling and the drag is remarkalby smooth and strong.
