This is one of the few "QuickFire" spinning reals left on the market. I'm not sure why the industry has moved away form this technology but I would hate to fish with a spinning reel that didn't have this capability. The reel is smooth and easy to use. Great deal on a hard to find item .

The Syncopate 2500 and 4000 are my favorite reels. I ve been using both sizes for years . The only problem Ive had with them is the trigger system. After awhile (every 3 years or so) you either have to replace the reel or if you prefer, buy a new bail spring and replace that part. The trigger system that automatically "flips" the bail stops working correctly due to the spring wearing out. Other than that, amazing reels. ... show more

This is the only type of reel that I like to use as it has the "trigger" bail release that positions itself at the top for easy one-handed operation to open the bail before casting. It also allows you to snag the line with the same finger that operates the bail release/trigger.

I got started with the quickfire bail when they first came out. Hard to find these days, but worth it. Real casts easily and retrieves smoothly. Well worth the cost
