When you get this reel under retail, it is a pretty good value. This is actually one of the better reels from Shimano. I think it’s better than Nasci and Miravel for the money. For some reason this reel had better tolerances than other two I’ve mentioned. Usually Shimano reels have a lot of handle slop. I own seven Shimano reels and even Stradics have loose tolerances. This product was clearly opened prior to arrival. The reel had scratches on it and the internal packaging had been improperly put back together. The tabs were not inserted and the reel was not secured.
