My son got this for his birthday, his first "real" reel (see what I did there?). He's an avid largemouth fisherman, and was really pleased with this unit. He says his casts are much farther, and the reeling in is smooth and fast. Not only that, it's an awesome looking reel. Not sure he'll catch more fish, but he's enjoying the process more! Now to get one for myself! ... show more

The reel itself is very nice, the only issue I have with it is the drag dial. The dial is half covered with the body of the reel. So that makes it hard to use the dial with big fingers. The dial itself is hard to turn to the desired position.
