I was cautious at first as it seems to be made from plastic parts. This thing is smooth and barely takes effort to launch a 1 oz jig head far out into the St clair river. You feel everything in the best way. Bottom bounce, fish strike. This reel handled a 24 inch walleye on 10lb braid and made it fun to reel in. It's better than a 200+ dollar abu garcia reel I used to love. Do yourself a favor. Get one and put 10lb braid on it and go catch fish Edit: went out last night and beat the living crap out of this reel. Caught pike, big nasty heavy slimy sheephead, and from 10pm to midnight I limited walleye and still caught more and the reel held up and had no trouble reeling in the fighters ... show more

I live in a rural area, and frankly, I've had some issues with Amazon's deliveries lately. I was glad to see that this reel was shipped by the seller through Fed-Ex, and it arrived on the day it was promised, because I need it for a pre-planned fishing trip. This is a really nice reel, as it should be for the money. Its light, smooth, and well built. For anyone wondering, it does have a reverse button. Its on the bottom front of the reel.
