I bought this reel from a friends recommendation since I am not a regular spin caster. Used in Baja surf fishing for 6 weeks and it worked great. smooth action and the drag was easy to adjust and smooth. Will be buying a heavier version for next winter in anticipation of larger fish!

Its smooth and almost indistinguishable from my Stradic. Used it a handful of tomes on lakers and smallmouth mostly Will it hold up? Hope so

Bought this because my brother told me to. He buys mostly Shimano reels and GLoomis rods. This reel broke after second use. Had a $40 Chinese brand that did the same thing. Gearbox jammed. Water dripping out as I was taking it apart. Not well sealed at all. Already shows some signs of corrosion in the gearbox. Hope same problem doesn’t show up on my Sustain. Would be very upsetting. After taking it apart and reassembling it, I found that the oscillator gear has a plastic part that broke. ... show more
