I love this mattress pad so much. I've ordered for my 6 years old daughter's bed and it fits well. Quality is amazing and made well. It's breathable but at the same time water resistant.

Friends mom had a stroke and several of us have been doing what we can to get them set up to be independent. She is able to take care of herself and was able to get into a new assist village where individuals are living alone but have access to support. Able to give her spare bedroom and got this mattress protector in case she has liquid spills. She'll be sitting up in the bed having some of her meals and wanted to make sure if she had a coffee or tea accident that the mattress would not absorb the liquid. It had one when we gave it to her but I also let my dogs sleep there so it had some pet dander. Once the cover was removed you cold not tell it was a used bed. Still looked two years new and smelled new. She didn't think she needed it but once she learned dogs were in it and it didn't smell like it, she accepted this mattress cover. Folks, regular accidents could happen and all you do is wash it and no one is the wiser. Have used this for an elderly friend who had diarrhea type issue from her stroke and while she was hospitalized I just had to rinse off in shower, use bio-hazzard type of soap in washer and it was all good again. Mattress was still perfect condition and didn't leak through. this thing really works. When friend returned home we left the bed looking like she left it when paramedics took her. Didn't know we cleaned it up. This is a lot of detail but this is why you should have one of these. Especially if you have a Foam style mattress which is hard to get liquids out of if you spill on it. Usually you end up buying a new one.

We had jsut spent a lot of money on a new bed and wanted to protect tit. When this arrived, I was at work and my partner opened and put it on the bed. She called me and told me that she really didn't think that it was waterproof as it seemed like a normal mattress cover. She was convinced so I asked her to test it! She got some water and poured it on the corner of the cover and actually rubbed it and nothing came through! She was shocked! It is easy to put on the bed, is comfortable under the sheet, does not feel (or sound) like a plastic sheet! We are very happy with this bed cover and never worry about spills or sexy times with our brand new bed.

This is a decent mattress protect cover. The top fiber is soft to the touch and feels comfortable. The small quilted stitches should make it more durable. The underside has a layer of polyurethane which has some liquid spillage resistance. The elastic skirt makes it fit for a wide range of mattress depth.

This mattress pad definitely has deep pockets. If you have a really thick mattress and/or use a foam topper, I'm betting that this pad will work. I have a "normal" thickness mattress, and there is a lot of extra height that this pad could handle (if you don't use up all the space, just tuck the extra underneath the mattress and you won't notice it). The padding isn't super thick, so don't expect instant luxury if you have an uncomfortable mattress -- this cover is more for protection than softness. But if you want to add a topper, you know that you'll have plenty of room with this cover! I tested the waterproof claim by purposely pouring some water on it and let it sit for a minute. Sure enough, the water did not seep through the pad, and it even seemed to wick away and dry up very quickly, which was a surprise. I haven't washed it yet, since it hasn't truly been used (slept on) yet, but it looks to be assembled well and all the stitching looks good. So, I'm happy with this pad, knowing that it will help keep the mattress clean and dry. Since it's on a guest bed and I never know what someone might do, that's one less thing to worry about.
