    • Just take a small amount of care with placement and strapping
Just keep tree branches and whole trees from falling on it and it should last a good 7 to 10 years, my zipper went bad at 7 but that's because I didnt strap the lower end of the door closed, lesson learned. A little pricey but still much cheaper than renting a storage unit if you have land for this. Edit: replacement 9oz ripped apart in a couple weeks with wind, no branches hit it, no idea why it fell apart so fast, going to have to upgrade to the 14oz, if that doesnt work I'm cutting my losses and building a solid car port. ... show more

I received the new cover pretty promptly, so I am happy with the service. There are several other things I liked about it initially: The thickness does seem stronger and the 15 year warranty in these heavy winds in midwest make it worth spending a little more. I like that the back and front have an opening (2 zippers). The original was just the font had zippers. It fits the frame fairly well although with settling of the frame and other factors you may not have great success. Things I was not happy about: Cover Kits include all new ratchet hardware - This is not accurate and I didn't receive new ratchet hardware. Bummed about that since it said it was included. The picture seems to show three zippers on the doorway, but there are only two (it does state this in the details though, but the picture is misleading Also misleading is how in the world we are supposed to hold this up doorway cover up. It shows it nice and rolled up in the picture, but offers no mechanism to hold it up. The 3rd zipper as originally available would have allowed us to pull it to the side, but can't do that now. Putting this up is difficult especially the bar insert and will take more time than you think. I am not sure what all the big holes are on the sides of the front and back panels. I can understand one for pole support, but the 2nd hole (lowest ones) are unnecessary and not designed well. The original had no holes. Overall, if it works great, I might move it up to a 3 star, but I am not positive on the longevity until it is proven. I will be happy to update it 4 years down the line. If it makes it that long I will be happy to move it to 3 star. Time will tell. ... show more

Directly replaced what was on there. The instructions lack a lot to be desired. This thing is heavy, it said you need two people, 3 would have been easier. I don't love that there is no way to tie up the door. Mine came with zippers for doorways on both ends even though I thought I was getting a solid back on one end. ... show more

    • Get's the job done
I have two of these, 1-20ft, and 1-24ft. They house all of my extra machinery and toys as well as my VW project car. The original covers off the store shelf don't seem to last as long as the replacement covers from Shelters America. You have a choice of two different fabric weights. If you can afford the cost of the 14oz fabric it will hold up longer. As it is, my covers seem to hold up in the Minnesota winters for two or three years before requiring replacement. The original construction works well with two people but the replacement covers can be done by a single person. Make sure to watch the video instructions. Service and support from Shelters America is great. p.s. If you think you can get away without installing anchors. . . think again. ... show more

    • This is the second kit we have had to order and it fit just like when we bought the tent new.
We have had to replace two covers in the 15 years we have had the tent, which we use for storage. The replacement was due to damage from weather. I would highly recommend this to anyone interested in buying this type of product. It fits just like new on the frame. It is long lasting and stands up well. My husband and I are in our 70's and had no problem installing the kit ourselves. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. We purchased this replacement top on May 4, 2023 - this is what we discovered yesterday, August 28, 2023. You can see how bad the quality is on both sides of the tear, like it had been up for years and been through years of wear. Very disappointed in this product. We have had Shelter Logic sheds and covers that have lasted for years and tarps that have lasted longer - this is unbelievable in four months of use. ... show more

2nd cover I bought. The first one I bought the insurance to replace if needed. Allstate didn't stand behind the coverage so it was the full cost again.
