Measuring 1-3/8” in diameter, the metal frame has a premium powder coat finish to help protect it from chipping, peeling, rust, and corrosion. The 4.5 oz thick 1-piece triple layer ripstop waterproof fitted cover allows a significant amount of light to reach the plants, while reducing the amount of harmful UV light. This means less damage to plants as well as reduced fungus and harmful insects. The Luminate Light Diffusion fabric is a good thermal barrier providing good insulation for plants while preventing over-heating, which requires less water, ventilation accessories, and attention. It also has a double zipper door panel that rolls up, allowing easy walk-through access to plants and seeds. The front door and the back rear panel both have half-moon shaped vents for maximum airflow and temperature control. Quick-Snap roll-up side panels have full-length screens, which adds even more airflow and ultimate temperature control. The greenhouse can be assembled in about an hour and a half with 2 people. I've had three different Amazon types of this plastic structure. This one works much better than the others. The zippers actually function for getting in and out of the door. I can't emphasize enough how important it is to have zippers that work. Some of the competition does not understand this. This is going to be slightly shorter than similar models. This size is always too short though. You might try building a base for it if you need more height. The bottom of the long sides can be clipped up to provide airflow up from the ground pushing warm air out through the windows on the front and back. This works well. Competing units have velcro windows 4 feet in the air which are comparatively useless. One complaint is the stake kit includes almost too short of cables. If you twist the stakes most of the way into level ground, the included cables only have about 1 inch to fasten them over the side rails. I feel like these cables are generic and meant for structures where you would attach to the frame on the ground instead of up and around the side rails. I ended up going to the hardware store and buying longer pieces of cable rather than trying to struggle with the small lengths included. The types of carriage bolts included are 1/4" in (I think) 1 3/4" and 1 7/8" lengths. Nobody sells sizes like this, so I used 2" carriage bolts to replace ones that had fallen out of the box during shipment. Due to the design, the length makes no difference as long as they are long enough with an exception for how far the bolts for the side rails protrude inward being more with longer bolts. Some of the pole ends were funny so I used a pair of vice grips to even out the shapes. There is no additional length of skirting on the ground with the plastic cover. The plastic cover fits exactly to the ground and may bunch up a half inch or so in the wind. Unlike the Shelter Logic "grow it" type, these do not have any space to add pipe to the front or back, so skirting cannot be clipped on but rather must be sewn on. If you desire skirting like this, I'd recommend sewing it to the cover with the cover off. You can easily clip on skirting to the inside of the sides using the half-circle greenhouse clips of which I'd recommend the metal kind. ... show more

    • Sturdy and heavy duty good quality
I am very happy with this greenhouse. It is heavy duty good quality and easy assembly. The only suggestion I would have is look into what kind of ground you will be putting it to know what kind of anchor you will need because the ones supplied aren’t good for every kind of ground.

This spring I first bought one of those cheapo random no-name brand greenhouses on Amazon. It shredded after the first windstorm. Only for double the price, I found this product, and it is a serious greenhouse. Super sturdy, all-metal frame with metal bolts and wingnuts. The quality of the cover is just well made. This is an all-around superior product. Thank you guys for building such a perfect item, I am sitting in my living room writing this knowing that come hell or high water, my greenhouse and the plants within it are safe and thriving. ... show more

I actually had one that was old & given to me. The cover was worn out. I actually put the cover for this one onto the bones of my last one and only used the lower side bars to hold the cover in place from the new kit. I will use the metal piping for this one after I find another cover to go with it or tape up the old cover. I did buy tape I just have not gotten to it. ... show more
