This does leave your face red for a little after use. So definitely use it before bed so the redness has time to go down. Mine goes away in like 10 minutes after use. But it cleans everything, makes me face super clear. I love it.

My daughter loves this mask, she uses it about every week to get rid of really bad pimples and to keep really bad pimples away. She says that after she rinses it off, she feels exfoliated, rejuvenated and her skin feels plump. She says when the mask is on she feels tingling , she says that means it’s working. She said the next day that her pimple had basically became dry skin and fell off and left no scar on her dark complexion. After she uses a tea tree oil moisturizer. Do not use if you have sensitive skin !!! I bought this 2 weeks ago as my teen daughter loves the African black soap . She’s uses the soap for her face as she does have the normal teen acne. She applied the face mask and right as she put it on her face she had a burning sensation . She came and asked me if this is normal . I said just wash it off . The mask was on her skin no longer than 5 minutes . After she washed her face she came to me and showed me her skin . She had a bright red chemical burn all over face . Super bright red and you could see the outline of were she had the mask on . I immediately applied aloe Vera all over face as she was almost in tears . The next day she woke up and a lot of the red had dissipated but the burning sensation was still there . It took about 3 days for skin to get back to normal . ... show more

Although some might not love the smell, its a nice and light powder smell. This mask doesn't completely dry while in use which is unlike most masks and really helps from drying out the skin. My skin feels tighter yet still moisturized after using it and it really help draw out any impurities I've had. My problem was I used to put later on later of this but now I put one layer and a thin one which does the job even so without making my skin feel tight yet still moisturize. ... show more
