I did a deep condition and then oiled my entire scalp in small sections with this oil and particularly on a spot with some hair loss near my hairline. In 2 weeks my hair has definitely grown and the balding spot near my hair line is almost non-existent with baby hairs growing in. This oil is thick with an off-putting smell, but not enough to stop putting it in my hair! Nope! This stuff works way too good. So I use it for my protective styles under my wigs while nourishing my scalp with this crazy miracle working stuff. Lol! ... show more

I love the Shea Moisture brand, so I didn't hesitate buying this. It came in the mail within a week. This bottle is small, but so is most oil bottles for natural hair. Since this is castor oil, it does not smell pretty, but I didn't expect it to. I only use it every now and then so the smell doesn't become over powering. I like this oil, because it helps add natural oils to my hair (I have 4b/4c type hair). The actual pump on this is not amazing. I have to tilt the bottle for the oil to not on the bottle. In my opinion…Yes it does work! I heard the buzz about this oil and I’m on my second week using it. It is smoothing out my wrinkle's and darkness around eyes looks lighter? I’m going to keep using it because it is making a change in my skin’s appearance.

I love this product and it doesn’t have a very harsh smell like some of the other brands. The only reason for my rating being so low is because the oil is very hard to get out of the bottle because it’s hard to push down on it and oil doesn’t seem to want to dispense but other than that I’ll continue to use what I bought but don’t know if I’ll buy another bottle or not. ... show more

    • High quality black castor oil
This is great quality oil! The bottle has a pump but it can sometimes be hard to get the product out. I find it works better if warmed up a bit under hot water. It's more expensive than the regular yellow oil, but I like the consistency better, which is why I purchased it instead. I use it for hair, scalp conditioning, as well as eyebrows and lashes which at my age I feel are thinning rather too much. NOTE: It contains residual ash from the roasted castor beans.This is why it's black and why no one should use black castor oil internally unless they consult a doctor. ... show more
