This marker easily marks on most all clothing surfaces (a bit more difficult to use on fleece items but still worked). The markings stay put through many more washes than regular Sharpie - it will fade a bit but I just remark it when needed. The marker keeps dispensing ink when used on clothing - unlike a regular Sharpie where the ink seemed to stop dispensing once the marker tip had been run over clothing surfaces or didn't dispense well onto clothing. So I don't know if I have a defective one or not, but when I try and use this on white clothing, I looks faded. I'll have to use multiple coats of marker on a single spot in order to get a full black look.
