These are easy to use but you should have a piece of paper to get it going and when you feel like you need more to come out. It will help you not to make a mess out of your project. The oil pens worked really well. The green just wasn't as opaque as one would think; it's slightly watery in appearance and is darker where you last tough the tip. But it works well, is easy to use, and doesn't come off where you put it.

Excellent pens. Bought green (medium point) for labeling metal cutlery in a classroom. Worked really well. Now use them for having guests label their wine/water glasses. Comes off in the dishwasher with glass. Hand-washing metal did not wash off so far but suspect that reapplication would be likely in the long run. Excellent quality - a standard for Sharpie. I'm a bit of a Sharpie snob and have recently purchased these paint pens in Red, White, Green, Yellow, and Blue - all medium tip. Tried them all out. Easy to use and apply. Shake, press tip on blotting paper a few times and they work great. The more you press the tip, the thicker the application line will be. Agree with on other reviewer who said the Red color has a bit of a pink cast to it. Used the White to highlight copier/scanner buttons (black buttons on black housing and very hard to see), used the Red and Blue on a pill dispenser whose markings had worn off - once you have them, you'll be surprised at all the ways you can use these. ... show more

I frequently purchase markers for my business. We decorate pieces of wood for celebrations. The Sharpie oil-based markers are my favorite. They get daily use and the ink is plentiful. I especially like that you can layer them over each other. A few shades are a bit sheer, but not the blue.

I use these for writing on a banner that is installed outside and gets constant weather exposure. They don't hold up indefinitely but they do hold up better than other grades of Sharpies.
