  • Nice Paint Marker
I use these to mark surfaces that are not ink friendly. I use them on various metals, glass, plastics, and other hard surfaces. It lasts a long time, and if it starts wearing off, it’s easy to touch up. I also use these when I engrave in metal and need the engraving to stand out.

  • Truly works for Ultra boost shoes!
I've been meaning to clean my super old and super dirty ultraboost shoes for a while. I had rinse them and tossed them into a bag and into my washing machine (delicate cycle, cold water) and air dry and while the mesh part of it looked great, the bottom part was still forever stained. Everywhere I looked, people would say oil based white sharpie was the only thing that would make the white part looked good again so I finally caved and got them and yup, they sure worked! It took me a bit (like 2 hours) to color them in and as you're working on it, you can see what is clearly white paint going on but from a distance, like 4 feet tall with the shoes on the floor, they look great and super clean. I used one sharpie for 4 shoes and it seemed to still have paint left in it. When I thought it was running low, I'd just do the whole rigorously shake and tap the tip again and the paint flowed out again. 10/10 would buy again. Great product for shoes. ... show more

  • Fine point not sure
Work great but they are said to be fine point but leave a very wide paint path so hard to use in tight spaces such as PCB boards

  • These pens are great
I like fine tip sharpies. These paints pens are great

  • Some folks claim defects but they have not followed directions.
I have used this brand and style of paint markers for many years, with great success and consistent experience and quality of ink/paint, as well as robustness of the applicator tip. I see many reviews here that claim the ink was dried up, or did not flow consistently, or various other purported defects. Those criticisms are unmistakeably from naive/new users who are unfamiliar with the conventional limitations of this product. Larger markers (with a larger applicator tip) of this brand and type are less susceptible to a fundamental characteristic of these paint markers: the flow can be interrupted from periods of disuse, any (perhaps unseen) contaminant/film on the surface to be painted, as well as the pressure of the user’s technique and the angle of attack. The finer/thinner the applicator tip, the greater the degree of these KNOWN limitations. Probably, anyone with experience in traditional India ink “dip-pens” or fountain pens is accustomed to the need to test-stroke a “nibbed” pen across a scrap piece of paper/surface in order to prime it. Also, the directions to initiate ink flow need to be repeated during the lifetime of the pen (that is, the directions may be misinterpreted to mean that the “setup” operation of pumping the tip is required only for the first use, but the fact is that I often repeat this exercise when starting each session). It’s a good product, but if you want the fine-line application that these provide, there are accommodations to be made to prime the product for each use. ... show more

  • Great when they are working...frustrating when not
First, a quick tip that I've found with these: leaving them stored in a pen cup CAP DOWN seems to keep them 'primed' and ready to write...most of the time...which leads me to my review... These markers are great and just what I need to write on dark surfaces. But many times when I go to use them, they will not write. I will shake the crap out of them for a couple minutes and press the tip repeatedly and leave it depressed for several seconds. Sometimes it will get going again, sometimes just for a few lines before it stops again. Sometimes it will just work. Sometimes I can not get it started after minutes of trying. The inconsistency and frustration has led me to look for more reliable alternatives. Going to try the Sharpie fine point silver. It's a classic marker that doesn't need shaking. ... show more

  • White dots of illumination and sparkling, starry skies shall be yours
This review is for: Fine Point Paint Marker [Set of 3] Color: White If you are an artist, a visual journalist, someone who likes to write on photos or sign artworks, then you probably need these. I bought them based on Jane Davenport's wonderful book "Beautiful Faces", because she revealed it as a secret trick to open the eyes of your subject, regardless of medium. I'd also add they are perfectly wonderful for adding small stars to any dark barkground as well. Unlike regular Sharpies, these are paint-based, which means you have to shake them a bit, and the pen does write in a liquid medium. It is beautifully opaque, and mostly easy to control - mostly. You do want to test it on a scratch pad first and get the feel of the pen - it's easy to accidentally drip a huge blob on your work, and this is not as easy to clean up. Thus the removal of one star, because while I shall never live without these, it did cause me to ruin a calendar due to the overenthusiastic speed with which it tends to flow. They don't have the typical sharpie smell, and there isn't any bleedthrough that I've detected (which is also different from sharpies). It dries to a glossy and not a matte finish. It is the definitive tool for highlights of the smallish kind, and it also works wonderfully with watercolor and pastel. PROS Excellent highlighting No bleedthrough Fine, sharp point give you intricate precision Shiny, beautiful opaque finish CONS They will run all over your project if you aren't careful ... show more

  • Won't speak.
Ink is nearly inaccessible to fiber tip. Fiber tip is weak, shredding easily. Fiber tip passes insufficient amount of white paint. There's a metal ball inside to mix its paint when you shake it. Fiber tip can come out of the socket if you shake it too hard; white paint splatter is a hazard. Fiber tip is easily pulled out, which means it is not immersed. You might get it work the first time, but after paint dries on tip, that's it. Whoever designed this lives in a fairy tale world where everything works as intended. Design must have been done by a twelve-year old. Whoever designed it should instead seek new career opportunities in the food and beverage industry. ... show more
