  • Easy Setup & Reliable Sensor Heating
Size: 1.4 Cubic Foot Style: Alexa Enabled
The media could not be loaded. It was very easy to setup the Alexa integration with my echo show. There’s 3 different methods that the instruction manuals lists. Here’s what worked for me: 1) Press Wifi button on microwave 2) Open the Alexa app on phone, tap device icon, tap the plus sign ➕, connect new device, let it search for the microwave 3) It will then prompt you to scan a barcode, the barcode is on the upper right corner inside the microwave 4) It’s connected and ready to use, the time on my phone automatically showed up on the microwave This is the first microwave that I’ve used that has a sensor reheat and sensor frozen food feature. This came in handy when I had tossed the instructions for the frozen food that I wanted to heat up. I just placed the frozen food on there and press the sensor frozen food button and the microwave can sense the optimal temperature for the food so you don’t overheat your food and no more undercooked frozen pizza. My food is heated thoroughly in the microwave every time I use this feature. The sticker label was difficult to remove and left a residue, isopropyl alcohol 70% didn’t work so I used “Goo Gone” and it removed it completely. If you like using smart devices and connecting everything in your home with Alexa, then I highly recommend it. While you’re busy cooking other food or preoccupied with a different task and have your hands full, it’s nice to be able to stop the microwave with just your voice when you notice that your food is done. This smart microwave would also be useful for visually impaired people, instead of using a Braille keypad and for the elderly who have trouble reading small fonts. ... show more

  • Total Voice Control
Size: 1.4 Cubic Foot Style: Alexa Enabled
This microwave is so awesome. I have my wireless network credentials saved on my account. So, the moment that I plugged it in, it automatically connected to the network, set the time, and it was ready to be controlled by Alexa. I simply say, "Alexa microwave for two minutes." The microwave starts without me touching a single button. I cooked 2 potatoes. I said, "Alexa, microwave two potatoes." The microwave started automatically and stopped when they were ready. And, they were perfectly cooked. I love it and feel that it is worth the extra cost. Now, if Alexa will wash the dishes, wash, and fold the laundry... ... show more

  • DO NOT BUY unless you like aggrivation
Size: 1.4 Cubic Foot Style: Alexa Enabled
A new microwave with Alexa integration! Neat! But you know what's not neat? Permanent stickers on the top of my shiny new microwave! You see, apparently there is a plastic film that must be removed prior to use. Good idea - it protects the surfaces so you can have that shiny new appliance for your countertop. And the manufacturer has helpfully affixed a sticker to make sure you know to remove them before you use it. Great! Only instead of putting it on the film where it would magically peel off, they put it on the top of the appliance, where there is no film. And they used permanent glue, so now I have a permanent mess on top of my otherwise shiny new microwave. It was going to look great. Now it looks like garbage. Thanks, Sharp. ... show more

  • Fun to use with Alexa
Size: 1.4 Cubic Foot Style: Alexa Enabled
I got this because I have gotten used to using Alexa for just about everything in the kitchen: setting timers, asking for measurement conversions, etc. I thought it would be fun to just say, “Alexa, microwave for 90 seconds” and not have to push any buttons. It worked just that way in the beginning. But now, I find I often have issues. I’ll ask Alexa to “microwave” something which she was originally able to do; but for some reason now she says, “Hmm, you have a lot of devices” but can’t seem to find the microwave. I guess I’m going to have to go through all my devices to try to find whatever the conflict is. I know this isn’t the fault of the oven - it works fine on its own. But the whole Alexa deal needs a bit more work. ... show more

  • Good microwave. Cooks evenly. Pesky details.
Size: 1.1 Cubic Foot Style: Standard Model
This is a decent microwave. But you can tell Sharp just tossed existing designs into it without much care. So it works fine. Minor details... This is a model where you CAN'T silence the loud BEEP it makes when pushing buttons / when done cooking. Like getting the glass turnable to sit properly... because they probably designed to accommodate some cheap supplier's existing supply. Or the front bezel/trim around the door button popping loose and needing to be pushed back on all the time. Oh and they protected the whole outer metal chassis by having their supplier adhere a pull-off plastic layer to it... then they drilled, screwed, and formed the chassis with that in place... So when you pull the plastic off as you're supposed to (troublesome) you'll end up with little pieces sticking out from joints & screws where you simply have to rip it off. ... show more

  • Better 2nd time around
Size: 1.4 Cubic Foot Style: Alexa Enabled
My first unit only lasted 10 days before the sensor burned out. I called Sharp customer support, and they told me they would have a remedy within 24 hours. Never heard from them. Amazon replaced the unit immediately and all is well. Pros: 1. This 1000 watt microwave is stronger than my previous Sharp 1100 watt oven. 2. Sensor cook is the best I have ever used. No more overcooked food. 3. You can write your own programs through Alexa routines. 4. Current time is large and easy to read. 5. Nice, clean modern look. Cons: 1. Protective film is very hard to remove. I finally found a method by rolling the film around a dowel rod after separating the top film from the 2 sides. Sharp needs a regular peel-off film, not glued on Saran wrap. 2. Touch panel is too stiff. Maybe it will be more responsive with use. 3. No support for multiple commands through the Alexa app. Amazon told me they are working on this. 4. Poor customer support. They are just reading scripts. All-in-all, the replacement unit has performed flawlessly. ... show more

  • Easy set-up, even for old technophobes.
Size: 1.4 Cubic Foot Style: Alexa Enabled
Connected to WiFi and Alexa recognized the microwave immediately. A couple simple steps in the directions completed the connection. Only complaint is there is no way to turn off the beeping, but it is less obnoxious than previous microwaves.
