I looked and researched air purifiers for a couple weeks after our old one quit performing. I kept coming back to this Shark and bit the bullet and paid the $300 for it. After the first day of running it, I had zero regrets! It works perfectly! We have it in our living room which is off of our kitchen and we keep it on AUTO. When we’re cooking, the Shark will drop from 100 where our air was clean, the fan will kick up a notch or two, depending on how low the numbers went, and it really will clean the cooking orders out! We have allergies and this has helped a lot! We own a home that is over 100yrs old and I used to go around the house dusting all the time and I notice there’s barely any dust on my furniture. I also notice if I spray Febreze air freshener or fabric refresher that the Shark senses it and will kick on and suck my air freshener out. lol I love Scentsy and their wax melts so when I use the one that is closest to the Shark I will just turn the air purifier off for a while because it will sense it and drop to yellow or even red and kick the fans on and clean the nice smell right out of the living room where I have that one sitting. Not complaining, but sometimes I like to smell my Scentsy! Also, there’s different speeds that the fan will run on and even on the highest speed it’s not loud at all. My house has never smelled so clean. We have two 70lb boxers and it has helped tremendously with having pets. When I’m gone for hours and come home, I notice that I don’t smell any signs of owning a dog when I walk into the house and my husband said the same thing when he came home from work the first night we owned it. There’s a light up ring around the numbers on the front that will be green when it’s clean, turn yellow when it’s getting bad and turn red when it’s really bad. We leave ours on AUTO so we don’t have to do anything, the Shark does the air cleaning for us. The never change filter is huge plus! Those filters can be so expensive so it’s nice that we don’t have that expense a couple times a year! The only thing that I’d say would be a “con”, if you want to call it that, and we honestly don’t even care about it, is that air freshener thing on top of the machine. We have never smelled anything come from that and I doubt we will buy new replacement neutralizer cartridges for it. I don’t see the point of it. I don’t see, or smell rather, where it does anything. I hope I covered everything and my review helped you make a decision on your purchase. I’m just an ordinary person with pets and an older home that PAID $300 for this machine and did not receive it for free to write a review like others do with stuff. My review is just our honest opinion that I wanted to share because we like it so much. It works GREAT! Better than any air purifier that we have owned in 30yrs. If you’re looking to buy a new air purifier for your home, I highly recommend this Shark! We sat the empty box in the office and thought we would hold on to it for the 30 days that we have to return something to Amazon just in case we didn’t like it but we threw it away the first week we used it.

Fantastic air purifier, did a lot of research before buying this model and it is so effective in our apartment. Whenever we cook, it immediately picks up the bad air and the dial on the front is so accurate, even sometimes when we open our windows and the external air quality is bad, it drops too. Well designed and the never change filter is amazing as so easy to vacuum.

We’ve been very pleased with this purchase. We use it on auto mode and it turns on and ramps up speeds based on demand. Our dust and allergies have been much improved since the arrival of the Shark Air purifier. Additionally less odors in the home. It is whisper quite on low modes but the sound is very noticeable when it ramps up to high mode and the air quality is poor (usually when we cook something a bit odorous, opening doors at night in winter with chimney smoke from neighbors or blowing out our 3 wick candles). It seems to take care of our downstairs area. We’ve since purchased smaller units for the bedrooms.

By far my favorite air purifier. I’ve had a lot of different brands and Shark was exceeded my expectations. I love that once the air isn’t as clean as it needs to be it automatically changes and starts working hard to get rid of odors or whatever it’s detecting. I think it does a great job of decreasing dust and pet dander. The size of this one is perfect for a bedroom and I hardly hear it at night when I’m sleeping. You can also turn the screen off so it’s not bright, which is also a plus.

It works really well and seems to help some for sure! It can be noisy when it is set to high, but it does have an auto setting. I did wipe off the dust filters on the outside, but it still said it was at 75%, so I was confused by that. It is very easy to wipe off the dust from the outside, and if you rinse off the washable filters, too. I love that you can dim the brightness on this. I am someone who likes to have no light pollution when they are sleeping I was very happy about that feature.

This air filter works extremely well. I love the feature where it can sense the smell of food in the house when we cook and comes on automatically to filter the air. Prior to having it, I use to sneeze a lot every morning, but now no more sneezing. It's definitely improving my health.
