I looked and researched air purifiers for a couple weeks after our old one quit performing. I kept coming back to this Shark and bit the bullet and paid the $300 for it. After the first day of running it, I had zero regrets! It works perfectly! We have it in our living room which is off of our kitchen and we keep it on AUTO. When we’re cooking, the Shark will drop from 100 where our air was clean, the fan will kick up a notch or two, depending on how low the numbers went, and it really will clean the cooking orders out! We have allergies and this has helped a lot! We own a home that is over 100yrs old and I used to go around the house dusting all the time and I notice there’s barely any dust on my furniture. I also notice if I spray Febreze air freshener or fabric refresher that the Shark senses it and will kick on and suck my air freshener out. lol I love Scentsy and their wax melts so when I use the one that is closest to the Shark I will just turn the air purifier off for a while because it will sense it and drop to yellow or even red and kick the fans on and clean the nice smell right out of the living room where I have that one sitting. Not complaining, but sometimes I like to smell my Scentsy! Also, there’s different speeds that the fan will run on and even on the highest speed it’s not loud at all. My house has never smelled so clean. We have two 70lb boxers and it has helped tremendously with having pets. When I’m gone for hours and come home, I notice that I don’t smell any signs of owning a dog when I walk into the house and my husband said the same thing when he came home from work the first night we owned it. There’s a light up ring around the numbers on the front that will be green when it’s clean, turn yellow when it’s getting bad and turn red when it’s really bad. We leave ours on AUTO so we don’t have to do anything, the Shark does the air cleaning for us. The never change filter is huge plus! Those filters can be so expensive so it’s nice that we don’t have that expense a couple times a year! The only thing that I’d say would be a “con”, if you want to call it that, and we honestly don’t even care about it, is that air freshener thing on top of the machine. We have never smelled anything come from that and I doubt we will buy new replacement neutralizer cartridges for it. I don’t see the point of it. I don’t see, or smell rather, where it does anything. I hope I covered everything and my review helped you make a decision on your purchase. I’m just an ordinary person with pets and an older home that PAID $300 for this machine and did not receive it for free to write a review like others do with stuff. My review is just our honest opinion that I wanted to share because we like it so much. It works GREAT! Better than any air purifier that we have owned in 30yrs. If you’re looking to buy a new air purifier for your home, I highly recommend this Shark! We sat the empty box in the office and thought we would hold on to it for the 30 days that we have to return something to Amazon just in case we didn’t like it but we threw it away the first week we used it.

My daughter has 2 cats with very concentrated urine. We have tried everything to include special litter, flowing water, auto litter box. Even though these all helped, it wasn't until I finally purchased this item for my large living area where the box was at that I know longer smelt anything. I might get and occasional whiff of something but it quickly vanishes. Also, fish smell - GONE. It does have a nice HEPPA filter so helps with allergies. I like it can sense the air quality and adjust the fan to increase the intake until it is clear. Great job overall. Not sure about the longevity of the item, from what I reviewed, there are mixed sentiments. Love this device already. Highly recommend it.

I know it says 250 ft², but that's the maximum. I added it to a room that is about 100 or so square feet and it works great. I have multiple in my home and even though this one is further away from where I'm cooking I always see it detect the particles in the air just like the one that is closer to my kitchen. It's pretty easy to use and It's great for my kids when they're cooped up in the room or sleeping, and has a auto detect function so that you don't have to leave it on a specific fan speed all the time. It comes with a scent capsule for air freshening but I don't use that because I don't know what it is made of therefore I wouldn't know what it's putting in my air. The never change filter is basically the same as the filters on the ones that are not never change but it has an extra grid on the outside that you can clean periodically to catch bigger things like pet hair etc before it actually gets to the filter so that's probably why they last so long. It doesn't weigh much and the build quality seems very firm. I'm happy with my purchase and shark is a great company.

It works and does what it's supposed to, I can definitely tell a difference in the air quality. It worked great for the first month or so but then started to get a red ring and stop working which means I have to clean the sensor and it'll start working again. This normally wouldn't be much of an issue but it happens at least every day to every other day which can be annoying; sometimes I have to do it more than once in a day.

We’ve been very pleased with this purchase. We use it on auto mode and it turns on and ramps up speeds based on demand. Our dust and allergies have been much improved since the arrival of the Shark Air purifier. Additionally less odors in the home. It is whisper quite on low modes but the sound is very noticeable when it ramps up to high mode and the air quality is poor (usually when we cook something a bit odorous, opening doors at night in winter with chimney smoke from neighbors or blowing out our 3 wick candles). It seems to take care of our downstairs area. We’ve since purchased smaller units for the bedrooms.
