I love this styling tool. I use it every time. I have a special occasion and it’s even easy enough to whip out on the daily if I feel up to it. I have Irish fine, thick hair, which is both delicate, and heavy. I haven’t noticed any damage from this tool. Although I do use it with heat protectant products every time. As usual for me with any curl I need to use a lot of moose and hairspray to keep it in. But with those products, it is the cutest and easiest way to add volume and curl to my hair. I get so many compliments when I go out after using it. When using the self wrapping barrels, the sir flow will let you know how much hair it can curl at one time by dropping the rest of it. So it’s super convenient that way. I’ve never curled my hair before in my life and I was able to do it on my first try with this tool! And the heat settings are so great, I love the cold shot.

It takes five minutes at most to add volume and soft curls, and it can curl, blow dry, smooth, or give you a full blowout. Perfect for work, a night out, or a busy day of classes. The blow dryer on the Shark FlexStyle is phenomenal. What really sets it apart is the targeted and purposeful drying. Unlike a traditional blow dryer that creates a full-on wind tunnel, this one allows you to focus on specific sections of your hair without blasting everything else. With regular blow dryers, I always struggled to control my hair—it would fly everywhere and dry with frizz and unwanted waves. The FlexStyle dries powerfully yet calmly, and my hair stays mostly in place instead of whipping around. This alone makes it a standout hair dryer. The curling attachments are interesting but definitely come with a learning curve. There are two separate attachments—one for the right side and one for the left—which pull the hair clockwise to create symmetrical curls on both sides of your head. I have very fine, frizzy hair, but a lot of it. Because of that, I had to use very small sections for the hair to properly wrap around the curling barrel. If you have a lot of hair like I do, expect the curling process to take quite a bit of time. My first curling experience wasn’t great, and I’ll be honest—it’s going to take a while to get the hang of it. I can see the potential, but it’s not intuitive or quick, especially for beginners or those with thicker or fuller hair. The dryer itself is lightweight, which I love, but unfortunately the cord is the biggest downside. It’s very heavy, doesn’t swivel well, and tangles easily. When the dryer is extended with the curling attachment, it becomes quite long and awkward to maneuver. To make it usable, I had to hold the base of the dryer with my unused hand to keep the cord from twisting while curling. The cord alone is frustrating enough that I’m knocking off an entire star—it simply doesn’t function well for styling. I’ve wanted a tool like this for a long time, so I was disappointed that it didn’t check all my boxes. While the curling attachments are challenging and time-consuming, I am genuinely very pleased with the blow dryer itself. If Shark could improve the cord and make the curling attachments more user-friendly, this could easily be a top-tier styling tool.

Works just as good as the Dyson Air wrap but for half the price. Easy to use and heats up nicely. Only had for a few months but the quality seems like it will last a long time. Multiple attachments make styling easy.

Product has been over marketed. While the tool does work on curling and giving you a blowout look the styling truly holds for only a few minutes. You have to spray it down with product if you want it to stay. I was looking for a no heat -no product one tool stop since I wanted my hair to look kept without having to damage it . The trade-off for heat is,product in order to make this last .unfortunately this did not work. My hair was beautifully curled for about 20 minutes and then fell flat(pictured ) with zero product in it. The tool is also very long annd awkward especially with the attachments storing. It is a bit inconvenient. If you don’t have space for it and is very loud. If you don’t care to have product in your hair,(hairspray /moose) I’d say this is a great tool to have as it does work the way it says it does

The media could not be loaded. I knew I’d love this better than the Dyson!! I’m old fashioned and I love a good chunky round brush and hairdryer for a blowout. That was specifically why I bought the flexstyle so I could have that same traditional hairdryer feel, no awkward arm or hand placement like when using the Dyson. I feel like the Dyson just being a stick makes it harder to use in the ways I prefer. I’ll have to learn how to use the oval brush attachment though lol. I’m SOOO happy with the flexstyle. The heat and speed controls are very nice, the cold flash button works pretty quickly even from high heat. The flex part is very smooth and easy to use, same with the attachments. It doesn’t leave a weird smell on my hair after blow drying, like that gross burnt hair smell, which tells me the heat controls are pretty precise (LOVE). I was happy it came with a travel bag, though I must admit I’m not sure if this bag was intended for the flexstyle. It’s just slightly too small so the flexstyle doesn’t lay flat inside, the divider in the middle doesn’t go all the way to the bottom so I don’t really understand why it’s there, and it has these wired snaps on the outside that I have no clue of their purpose. Overall though, great purchase!!
