I ordered a couple of binders / waist trainers to prepare for and recover from hernia surgery. This is one of the ones I tried. It ended up not being suitable for my precise needs at the moment and so I returned it, but it is really an excellent waist trainer! It was top-notch quality, very well-made, and the various levels of closure made it really, really secure and smooth-fitting. It even smoothed over my flared ribs! If I ever need a waist-trimmer or "corset" for anything, I'll definitely come back and get this again. My stats: I am 5'5", 135lbs and trim except for a slightly fuller tummy area from a moderate to severe diastasis. I generally wear a clothing size S or 4-6, but ordered this in a M. It might only be because of my tummy, but it was a bit of a battle to get this hooked up—I'd be curious to see how a L fit by comparison. Once I got it fully hooked and then zipped though, it fit beautifully! My tummy was flatter than it has been in decades, and I had a very decidedly graceful (not grotesque) hourglass shape. The design of the boning pulls everything together in the most flattering lines possible, and the tiny bit of stretch actually makes it comfortable too! Just FYI, I spent years doing historical reenacting, and this reminded me a lot of a Victorian-style underbust corset, but more comfortable with a "made for me" kind of fit. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love definitely covers the lower portion, super sturdy comfortable definitely though hold you in, I will continue to purchase from them when the two that I bought we're out. Can't remember the name of the brand, but it was an expensive waist trainer & Shapshe is way better quality. I love my purple one is so beautiful.

Let me stop by saying I waist train consistently as a professional bodybuilder in women's physique. I'm used to having a 6-in to a 9 in waist doing competition season. However off season I don't feel the need to have a waste that small but still want a quality waist trainer that doesn't hurt my spine. This is the waist trainer that does just that it's breathable stretches but also gives a tight firm hold without back pain. I bought a small and the small fits perfectly I still have enough room to get it tighter if I wish. Off-season I'm 155lbs with a muscular physique. I will have to get the x-small. I wish they came in xx-small.

Love this waist trainer! Love how it goes all the way up your back, so that the fat bulge isn't sticking out on near the bra line like most trainers. This is my favorite waist trainer so far, out of the other 3 brands I've tried. Got a Large (5'6, 175 lbs, waist is about 32-34 inches not sure but in that range) The XL was too big, so I had to return it.

Only 4 stars because the size was too big, it did fit, but, being a waist trainer its supposed to be hard to hook up & cinch ya in more, other than that, I want to say that this is the most comfortable one I’ve ever had & even tho it didn’t cinch me in as much as I wanted I did see a improvement in clothing. And it helped my lower back pain a great deal when working at my desk all day. Im reordering this, just in a smaller size. I’m 5’7” and 150 order an XL since the reviews said order a size up. I will be paying close attention to the inches in sizes, because waist trainers are supposed to be hard to latch for best results.

I love the fit but it runs big. I had so much room wear the bra strap is. Im going to order a size down to see if that helps. My waist is 33. I weigh 185. Im almost 5'6. I ordered an XXL. Its just big. I am going to try again.
