Even though this is a waist trainer, I ordered this because I have very bad spondylolisthesis (aka sway back) in my lower back. It basically curves way too far inward, causing two vertebrae to crush against each other. I can no longer stand for more than 10 minutes without being in pain. I was hoping this would provide enough support to allow me to once again do housework without having to take breaks every 10 minutes for my back. The material reminds me somewhat of an ace bandage, but much, much thicker and stronger. It has 3 bands. You first place the brace across your back where you want it to be. Then you grip the lower two straps on either side, pull them out as far as you can, and wrap/overlap with the velcro. Repeat with the top strap, then cover them both in the same manner with the outer strap. It was surprisingly easy to put this on tightly even on my own. I could probably get it even more snug if I had my husband pull this tighter. I instantly felt supported and had some back relief as soon as I just wrapped the lower band across my lower abs. With each band you wrap, you feel more snug and "snatched". It also helps with posture, due to the boning inside the wrap. I really like how supported this makes me feel. You can still sit and bend over to pick things up in this. I wore it while doing housework, and I found that it did not roll at all, but when I bent over to pick something up off the floor, it did ride up just a bit. Since I want to wear it closer to my tailbone for that back support, I tried to pull it back down, but it is so snug it is impossible. I would suggest maybe adding some very well-stitched thumb loops that can be used to hook and pull back down, when needed. It did allow me to double my standing/working time from 10 minutes to 20 minutes, so I'm pretty pleased with that. You can see in my pic I'm pretty rectangular shaped. After putting this on, I can see I'm shaped with a little more inward curve instead of outward, so yay I usually wear an XL in tops, but I ordered the medium in this and it works great.

This waist trainer is well made and exactly what I needed for my 8 month postpartum belly. It feels durable and firm, providing excellent support. After wearing it for a few hours, I noticed it does a great job of flattening my tummy and enhancing my waist. However, I wouldn’t say it’s the most comfortable to wear. The steel bones are a bit too firm and dig into my skin, making it difficult to sit comfortably. This might be because I ordered a medium size instead of a large or XL, so I’d recommend sizing up if you want a more comfortable fit. The Velcro strap is strong and stretchable, so it stays in place, but I do wish the inner belt was just one wide piece instead of two. When I take it off, it kind of creates a layered belly look. I also wouldn’t wear it under fitted clothes because the lines are visible, but it’s perfect for wearing under loose clothes for a smoother look. Overall, it does the job, but if you're after comfort, you may need to adjust the size or consider wearing it with looser clothing.

Ok Ladies…. This shaper is ten degrees beyond amazing! I have had many shapers in the past, and this one is by far the greatest! Now.. for reference purposes I am 5’2”, weight 130 lbs and typically wear a size 2-4. Don’t get judgmental before you finish reading this because I definitely don’t have a flat stomach and I do have curves, so I do appreciate a good and well made shaper, which is exactly what this is. The construction is amazing and it has two panels. The first panel secures and wraps around your belly while the second panel is for enforcement. There are steel bones in the back portion of the shaper which helps with posture as well as ensuring the trainer remains stable. The Velcro is incredibly strong so there was no issue with concerns of it coming undone. Depending on your body and your needs, this could be worn while working out, however I chose wear it under my clothes for a more hourglass shape. I would advise wearing something under this shaper such as a tank top or chemise so it doesn’t irritate your skin, however I absolutely love the construction as well as the incredibly firm hold. I ordered a size small and although it is a bit tight (which is to be expected), once I am back on track with my workout routine it will fit better. I absolutely love this and it truly holds me in by giving me an hourglass shape as well as corrects my posture. If you’re on the fence about this I would strongly suggest giving it a try as it is one of the best shapers I have tried, and again, the construction is amazing.

I've never used a waist trainer before, but I've been losing a bunch of weight and my body still looks the same to me. Mostly just hoping to encourage some weight distribution to give me a better shape while losing weight. This thing is STRONG. I'm not used to something being able to contain my midsection when I sit, but this DID. And I did feel like my back was very well supported and I had better posture wearing it. I do need to ramp up to wearing it longer. I think I only handled it for about 20 minutes today before I was ripping it off, but hopefully I can get used to it and wear for longer.

Got this for my sister! They are steel bones for sure! It was so easy to put on and gave much room for adjustment because the stretch was good yet, the support was crazy strong. There are 3 velcros, 2 inside for the super cinched look and then the closing Velcro on top with the thick boning material. It's comfortable to wear and gives crazy support. There was no funny odors. Great item.
