I find that basin wrenches are necessary when installing faucets. The space and distance involved under cabinets require this tool.     • Good affordable tool.
Good spring tension and sharp teeth for grip. Handle extension is a very usable length. Square tube design can help with getting a wrench on it for more leverage. Finish is a little rough compared to most I've seen, but not enough to cause any issues. Overall a good tool for the price.

I have been needing one of these basin wrenches for a long time. I opted for the longer extending basin wrench (Shall offered two). In my case, I only needed to extended to the second or third setting to reach the brass nut responsible for keeping the faucet in place. I was a bit skeptical about the grip strength of the spring-loaded jaws, but I was able to apply generous torque and tighten the nut fully without any slippage. Including Teflon tape and some nitrile gloves was a nice bonus as both are always needed in plumbing jobs. ... show more

    • Handy wrench to have in a tool collection
This is one wrench I was missing in my tool collection, but I'd notice only every few years when attempting to install a new bathroom faucet. The next time I have to do that (next week), I'll be prepared. I've already tried using it just to see if it would actually fit where I need it and make life easier, and guess what? It does, and it will make my life easier when the new faucet comes in next week. Do yourself a favor, and have one of these on hand. The media could not be loaded. I wish I would have had this articulating, extendable, basin wrench years ago! This is a quality tool that feels heavy and substantial in hand. The spring loaded jaw appears well made with strong and sharp teeth that ensures ease of use and automatic sizing. The adjustable length function works well with spring loaded ball retention. The inner rod is solid steel and the outer piece is nearly .070 inch thick steel. It comes with plumbers tape and a pair of gloves, which are a nice touch, but the real value is in the tool itself.
