This is a seriously nice reel, especially for the price. I had one go bad so I needed a replacement and ordered this not knowing what to expect. It is smooth, takes line on the spool well and casts well. Drag seems smooth too although I haven't fought a big fish with it yet.

The reel itself is a good product. I have used and like Shakespear reel. I ordere this one to replace one that broke after 10 years of service. It was acvertised as holding 110 yards of 8lb test line makeing it a light duty real. The number 60 should have been a give away. It actualy is a heavy duty real and hold 280 yards of 12lb test as shown on the reel and don't specify any smaller size line. ... show more

Well I like it ,good size for medium action rod ( 15-20) test, but what I didn’t like was there was no on and off switch, ( so the spool could not be able to free spin back or forward) not crazy about the price too
