Description
The Sundown Audio SFB-1500D is a mono car audio amplifier made for subwoofer systems that need strong RMS power from one compact Class D chassis. It supports 1-Ohm stable operation and pairs output with system tuning controls for daily driver, demo, and custom car audio builds. This amplifier delivers 1500W RMS at 1 Ohm, 1200W RMS at 2 Ohms, and 650W RMS at 4 Ohms, giving installers flexible wiring options for compatible subwoofer loads. A dual MOS- FET PWM power supply supports output, while the recommended 140A fuse rating matches the amplifier's power demands. Built-in tuning includes a 12 dB per octave variable low pass filter, variable high pass filter, and 0 to 12dB variable bass boost for dialing in low-frequency response. Four-way protection covers thermal, voltage, speaker short, and DC offset conditions, and the smart three-speed cooling fan helps manage heat during heavy playback. Technical Highlights: Power Output: 1500W RMS at 1 Ohm, 1200W RMS at 2 Ohms, 650W RMS at 4 Ohms Filter Range: Variable low pass filter from 80Hz to 20kHz and high pass filter from 15Hz to 1kHz Signal Noise Ratio: 100dB rating Size: 7.25 x 6.75 x 2.50 inches The SFB-1500D is suited for car audio hobbyists, installers, and subwoofer owners building a single-amplifier bass system. Its mix of 1-Ohm power, wired remote with clipping indicator, protection circuitry, and compact size gives it a strong fit for subwoofer setups without adding multiple amplifiers.
