    • Not Great for Cereal, But Well-Made
This container is labeled for cereal, but the spout design makes pouring tricky. Cereal often gets stuck on the edge, which causes spills. That said, it seals really well and feels like a good quality product overall. It might work better for other dry foods, just not the best for cereal.

I was skeptical about the quality of this item based on the price, but I have been very pleasantly surprised. These are sturdy and hold the contents of a standard size box of cereal. They close nice and tight and fit nicely beside each other on a shelf. We use these for cereal, small rice cakes, and goldfish crackers. I didn't necessarily buy these for cereal. They will definitely work great for cereal. The one slight issue I have is you really have to pay attention to which direction the lid goes on. It isn't interchangeable. Front goes to the front. I have tried to put it on backwards on accident and it won't go on. Very nice containers. Definitely air tight. I had to open the cereal flap in the freezer (using them for camping to transport fragile items and hotdogs) so the items would freeze faster. They do their job wonderfully. I do plan to use them for cereal after the camping trip. It will definitely keep the kids from causing stale cereal!! I have since been using these for cereal since our camping trip. Best. Purchase. Ever! My kids are horrible about closing bags of cereal, to the point that they would waste half the bag! I stopped buying cereal for a long time because of the waste. As you can see though, these don't hold the GIANT bags of cereal. I use two containers for those. The kids know that I won't buy another cereal until I have at least two empty. These are good containers that hold family size cereal boxes. The only thing that may bother some is the locking wings that protrude a little from the sides, wasting space in your pantry, but they are so sturdy that I'm not knocking it for taking up a little extra room. I like that they have a little bit of an indentation for the hand on one side, making it easier for young kids to pour their own cereal too. ... show more

I was a little worried when I opened the box and saw how small these containers looked . First thought was “oh lord I’ll be returning these!” but to my surprise they fit exactly the way I was hoping when I ordered them. Keep in mind your family cereal box Is not full to the top of the box( lots of air) . Both size boxes in picture1 are still sealed , picture #2 is the entire boxes emptied into the containers . So these containers work for either size box. I was going to give these a 4 star only Because there is not a rubber ring around the poor spout but because they seal so tight I don’t think it will be an issue . In picture 3 I used the sides of the box as my labels . Will be buying more and I give it a 5* ... show more
