These little maple trees arrive folded up in a compact box and stand about 22 inches tall once fully assembled. There is a bit of setup involved, though. You’ll need to attach each individual leaf over the LED bulbs, so be careful not to lose any because they don’t include extras—you’ll need every single leaf to complete the look. The branches are easy to shape, but I did notice the fabric leaves stayed somewhat folded and creased from being packed in the box. I tried reshaping them, but some of the bends remained. Hopefully they’ll relax a bit over time. The trees are battery operated and each one takes 3 AA batteries, so you can place them just about anywhere without worrying about finding an outlet. Once everything is assembled and fluffed out, they create such a warm, cozy glow. The soft lighting and colorful fall leaves make these a charming addition to a mantel, entryway, shelf, or side table. These trees are really nice. They are even bigger than I expected, so they look great for a background setups. The "bark" is very realistic and its texture is smoothe. They are exceptionally well made. The mechanics of loading the batteries is easy and so is their operation. They look so realistic, whether lit or unlit. For anyone wishing to set up an outdoor winter tabletop scene, they really work. The branches can be bent in any direction; they are really beautifully designed. I absolutely love the sweet little decorative trees!! they look like a little birch tree trees.. I have them in my bedroom and I turn them on at dusk and it makes my room so cozy… they are the easiest thing to assemble… it’s just some right amount of light….. I love it that you received two of them… I gave one to my sister who is in an assisted living.. she has it right outside of her door on a ledge.. and then I have mine for my bedroom..perfect!! ... show more

When I first took them out of the box, I was VERY worried. How did they even fit in there? But the branches are "easy to move" wire, so, easy to straighten and then move out as you like. Yes, you do that part. No, you don't rip it about any ole way, or you'll break it. No, the wire is not difficult to move and I have to use a gripper to open jars, I don't have strong hands. Spread the branches out away from the trunk, remember that branches generally reach up to the sky and branches are generally not perfectly straight, so wiggle them about. I've had them for a couple days and doing pretty well. One wasn't working quite right out of the box and I did the Fonzie smack and that would get it going and then the timer wouldn't come on the next day. And then it would. And then it wouldn't. So I called and they were very good about sending a replacement. It would have worked fine for on/off, but I want the timer option. The base is a white square, just like in the photos. It is not flimsy. I'm thinking about making a tree skirt for them. The tree unscrews from the base very easily, so would be a simple thing to add. I'm using them for winter ambiance. It's sad to have the tree down, so this is quite nice. ... show more
