Very nice vest. Very easy to put on and off once velcro neck is adjusted all you need is one quick click to put vest on. We know that our pup likes wearing it because as soon as we get it she comes over and waits for us to put it on her. The quality is excellent. It is a great value for the money. We keep a few of the service dog cards in our wallet but have not had to share them with any stores yet. Highly recommend if your pup is well behaved to have this so they can accompany your on your errands without being challenged by store employees.

I have been pretty much home bound for the past few years and just recently gotten to the point where I can start going out and about again. I had a recent trip where I was going to stay with a couple of my kids and would be home alone during the day while they were at work and needed to take my gal with me so I bought this vest for her so the apartment and anyone else that would see me while I would be out in public would know that she was not just a regular pet (housing units have to allow service dogs vs pets same with stores). She has never worn a service vest before because we haven’t had the need for one because of me being home bound, but she took to it really quick! The vest for her has just become another extension of her whenever we go out and she needs to wear it. She enjoys it so much that as soon as I ask her if she wants to go to work and she sees me grab it she gets excited, jumps on my bed, and will sit and wait patiently for me to put her vest on! In fact I may end up having to order a second vest just because our German Shepherd understands what the vest is and she now wants one as well! lol! I ordered her a medium as she was right on the fine line measurement wise between a small and a medium and I felt it was better to be safer than sorry. It’s taken in as small as it’ll go and fits her just fine! I love the vest and all the multipurpose’s it can serve. I ended up even ordering saddle bags for it so if we decide to go out for an extended period of time for the day, just her and I, she can help carry extra items for me such as my meds and such. The grab bar seems pretty sturdy and well added. I can see if I got a second and larger vest for my GSD being able to use it to help pull myself up when I need the extra hand. I also love that these came with cards as well explaining our rights when it comes to having service animals. Luckily I’ve never ran into any issues yet with anyone asking but I can see where they would most definitely come in handy and helpful in possibly some of those moments if they were ever to arise!!

If, like me, you get frustrated from searching for harnesses and coats that would fit your deep chested dog, like my Standard Poodle Tibbo, search no more! Tibbo just outgrew his size M harness that barely fitted him by making the front loop as small as possible, and the chest loop as large as possible. So… I ordered one size bigger, size L, but, of course, the harnesses and coats you can buy ready made are all designed to fit the barrel chested dogs, like the Labs, Golden Retrievers, and Pitbulls. Sooo frustrating! First, I adjusted the rear, chest loop, which still gives me a little space to grow. Then, I checked how much I needed to take off the front loop so that it would not hang/sag in front of my dog. With a pair of heavy duty sewing scissors, I trimmed one piece first, then checked again, and cut another piece so that the hook part of the Velcro still attaches to the "soft" part of it. Then, I took a lighter, stood close to the kitchen sink with the water running, and brushed the flame along the cut part of the loop to melt it, ran it through water, and voilà! No need to sew, the end will not fray, and my harness now fits my dog. FYI, Tibbo's girth is 28", neck 15", height at shoulder, 26", and length from base of the neck to base of the tail, 25". I hope this helps other owners :)
