We chose the medium hybrid mattress for our guest room. A medium firmness seems to be a good middle-ground choice when a variety of guests will be using a mattress. Like the medium firmness, going with a hybrid also seems like a good middle-of-the-road choice that will work well for many people, which makes it a good choice for a guest room. While we haven't yet had any overnight guests to sleep on this mattress, I've slept on the mattress myself several times now for testing purposes, and I must say it is very comfortable. The hybrid design offers the best of both worlds as far as a traditional spring mattress and an all-foam one. Because of the springs/coils, it feels slightly bouncier than a solid foam mattress, but the foam is very supportive and I could not feel any springs, lumps or bumps through the dense foam. And of course the medium firmness means it's neither too hard nor too soft. I added a soft topper that is about 3-4 inches thick, so my brain gets the sensation that I am sinking into a cushy, soft mattress, but my old, abused back and bones enjoy the support of the firmer, denser mattress underneath. It's very convenient to receive a mattress delivered to your door through Amazon. It is much easier than trying to find a way to bring a mattress home yourself, and it keeps expenses way down compared to having a mattress delivered through a traditional furniture store. The mattress arrived inside a large box, rolled up, folded and compressed/flattened. The thought of a folded mattress worried me a little, but I shouldn't have worried because once the mattress fully fluffed up and decompressed, there is not even a hint of it ever having been folded. It's really quite remarkable! We brought the box upstairs to the guest room before opening it, which I recommend, because moving the box is much easier than moving an awkward, heavy, wiggly mattress. Even if you don't need to take the mattress up any stairs or a long way into your home, I recommend moving it into the proper room before unboxing it for the easiest experience. Overall, we are very pleased with this mattress's medium firmness, the hybrid spring/foam design, and the experience of receiving a boxed mattress delivered to our doorstep. This is the King 12” medium. I am very happy so far. We live in an old house, a good strong house, but old. My wife’s grandfather built the house and did a great job, except for 1 thing. The stairway to go up to the second floor, has a doorway at the bottom, and the steps are steep. You can NOT get any mattresses larger than a twin up those stairs. That’s why a mattress in a box is a life saver. Truly. We love our king size bed and we can’t go back to anything smaller. It was a struggle to get it up the stairs because the box was highly damaged from Amazon driver slamming it on the porch and ripping the bottom of the box open. This was a delicate situation, if that bag was broken at all, it would have inflated and we would have had a huge problem, Luckily we got it up there with everything intact. Once rolled out and seal broken, it filled up in about 30 seconds. How did we get the old mattress out? I had to cut it up into 4 pieces. Cutting up a mattress is harder than it sounds, but with the right tools it became easier. Sleep: On the old mattress, if I slept more than 5 hours, I would have pain. I average 4hrs a night during the work week and 8 on weekends. I feel great. The new one been great. It isn’t as plush at the top as I thought it was going to be, but that’s ok. Because I feel great. My wife suffers from Juvinile RA, now in her 40’s mattresses are important to her overall health. She is very happy with this mattress. Thank goodness, because we can’t return it unless if they would take it in 4 pieces. Haha. I am sticking with 4 stars because I think that is fair. If the top inch or so was softer, I would have given it 5 stars. Still, 4 stars is very good. ... show more

This is a high-quality mattress in a box. The mattress is quite heavy, so it’s recommended to have two people handle it. I managed the mattress on my own, but having help would have made the process much easier. The mattress takes 24 to 72 hours to fully expand, and this is accurate. Initially, I was concerned because the mattress appeared flat and lacked cushioning. However, after the full 72 hours, it plumped up beautifully and became incredibly comfortable. Once fully inflated, the mattress truly shines. It molds to the body, relieving pressure points wherever your body makes contact. As a side sleeper, I found it to be exceptionally supportive. My kids also tested its durability with some bouncing, and the mattress handled their play effortlessly. The craftsmanship is impressive. The stitching, fabric, and overall quality are top-notch. The fabric feels soft, cozy, and plush, clearly made from high-quality materials. I believe this mattress is built to last and will provide comfort for years, making it a smart investment.
