Ships in a single box and is well...tetris-ed. Kind of heavy, but you can take the parts out and move them where they need to be. Easy for me to get the pieces upstairs without a helper! The feet and back pads are inside the seats. Assembly consists of several hand screws and placing padding inside the seat fabric. Seat cushions are foam-wrapped springs and comfortable. Back cushions are all fiber fluff and harder to pack because of their shape; takes a while to get rid of lumps. Legs screw on easily -- no tools required. If I had seen this loveseat in the store, I probably would have rejected it due to the fabric -- it's a bit rough. Maybe the fabric will soften up over time. Size is perfect for my small 14'x10' room. Seems sturdy enough compared to the other options at this price range. Speaking of price, this loveseat beat most options at local stores! I don't regret this purchase. Wish the fabric was nicer. Great price, easy assembly, perfect size. Add a couple pillows and a throw blanket to complete it. ... show more

Soo I can leave an honest review here because I have had this couch for 3 years now. Bought it during the pandemic because me and my fiancee needed a smaller couch for our apt. Pros: You can wash the cover, and its sturdy! Cons: If you are tall like my fiance (6’0) you won’t feel comfortable here, the filling gets lobsided pretty quickly. Im 5’1 so for me this couch was fine. At this point, it is very uncomfortable but for the price ($350 I think I paid) its not bad at all. Great couch in my opinion. I would suggest getting the bigger size if you want it to last more than 2-3 years though. ... show more

    • A good couch but with a few downsides

I really wish I could give this couch 5 stars, but after a few months of use, it has had some downsides. First, the positive aspects: It got here fast and was easy to put together. My husband and I had it up and in place in less than an hour. We read some previous reviews and had the covers ready for the cushions before they expanded all the way. I can see it causing you issues if you let the cushions "inflate" all the way before putting them in the covers. This couch is also relatively shallow, but that's what we wanted in or house and looked for while shopping. My husband is 5'7" and I'm 5'4", and we've actually had a really hard time finding a couch that fits our smaller frames. This couch, however, is perfect for us. We both also have lower back problems, and this couch has actually helped us a lot. There's not enough room to lean back in it too far, so it forces us both to have better posture. We've both experienced fewer back problems since purchasing this couch. If you are taller or want a couch you can really lounge on, this might not be the couch for you. It is relatively small, especially compared to the giant couches you find in furniture stores. Now the negatives: The back of the couch looks terrible. The Velcro doesn't go down all the way on the sides, so the fabric isn't secure all the way down. If this part of our couch showed, I would tack it down or put more Velcro on the back, but ours is against a wall. It is, however, a pretty cheap couch, so I had anticipated a few lower quality aspects. It also had a very strong smell when it arrived. We opened the windows, and this smell went away in less than 24 hours. It just smells like a cheap, new pair of shoes. I would not put it together in a room with no ventilation. It would have been an awful 24 hours if we did not have a window in the living room. After a few months of pretty heavy use, the bottom cushions are still really springy and the couch is not "dipping" anywhere in the seat area. However, the cushions you lean back against are a different story. They have gotten slouchier over the months, and we are constantly picking them up and trying to beat them back into shape. However, I do have to say that the couch we had before this was a $900 couch, and it had the same problem after a few months, so I'm not sure this is an easily avoidable problem with any couch. Last but not least, the biggest negative is that there seems to be a gap in the middle of one of our arm rests. The fabric is there, but there is no frame in one spot that is about 2x2 inches. This is only on one side, so I think this might just be a flaw in the couch we received. It does seem, however, that some other reviewers have had similar quality issues with this couch (screw holes in pieces not lining up during assembly, funky leg pieces, etc.) which leads me to believe that the construction of the couch itself is pretty cheap. This one issue isn't a huge deal, and the couch itself is still comfortable, but in the end I did give this couch 4 stars because this is a flaw (and one that my husband gripes about constantly). In the end, I think this is a pretty good couch for the price. No, it's not a perfect couch, and you should probably expect a small defect or two if you order it, but it is pretty comfortable and sturdy for the price. We have had lots of people over since we got it who are so surprised at how cheap it was and that it came in a box from Amazon, so I take that as an indicator that this is a pretty good deal.     • Relative to the Price, a Good Value and Comfortable

For what it is, this is a quality product. Is this a sofa you would want to use as your primary living room seating, or lounge around on for an entire Sunday watching football? No. Is this a sofa that is perfect for secondary seating in a living room, den, or office that provides decent comfort and is sturdy? Yes. I was in need of a little extra seating in the den for guests (or the occasional nap), that would fit along a wall in a space that was occupied by an ancient club chair and end table. I gave up a Saturday to visit a couple of local furniture stores looking for a small sofa or love seat that fit the bill, and wash shocked by the way quality (or lack thereof) never seemed to correspond with the price tags. Seeing as this wasn't a primary piece of furniture, I decided I'd test my luck online. I was skeptical about furniture that needed to be assembled, but Serta is a well known name and I decided to order the 78" sofa. The box arrived on time (per usual via Amazon Prime), and although it was compact for a sofa, the box was still a large enough to be awkward to handle (the UPS guy didn't refuse my help). I ended up opening the box in the driveway and brought the sofa into the house in pieces. Overall not an issue for me, but something to be aware of if you have tight stairways trouble lifting larger objects. I was skeptical as I began to assemble the sofa, but it was a quick process (45 min), and the bulk of the time was spent unpacking the pieces and cutting up the cardboard for recycling. Some reviewers seemed to encounter problems with dents and dings, or the fabric fitting over the back, but neither were issues for me. After just over a week, here is my impression: This is a surprisingly sturdy piece of furniture. It's not "uncomfortable," but again, it's not what I would recommend for primary seating. The seat cushions are very firm, but the back cushions are much softer (plush, but flimsy), and flop around easily when you get up and down off the sofa. There are several reviews that are critical about this line of furniture for those reasons, but for the price, I'm not sure what these folks were expecting. The fabric is neutral (I used two other throw pillows to add color to it, rather than those included), but it seems to be decent quality and certainly doesn't feel like I'll need to worry about it wearing out in spots or splitting at the seams anytime soon. I think I'll appreciate this sofa even more if the time ever comes that I need to move it to another location, or even just to a room upstairs, as it can easily be split back into two more manageable pieces. I give it 4 stars based on what it is-- I think most of the lower reviews with lower ratings are from folks who felt they could get a lot more for the price... but I'm not sure that's realistic. I'd recommend it, and might even look for something similar for another space if the need ever arises (and it certainly beats dealing with the annoying salespeople in the furniture stores). ... show more
