I bought a memory foam mattress that is medium-firm to firm online and it's hard to gauge what that actually means. I'm sure the manufacturer don't have a consistent standard when it comes to that. My mattress just seemed to be a notch too firm to be super comfy. Some days it's acceptable, other days you just want a little bit more fluffiness. This Serta topper pad is amazing and super comfy. The memory foam feels amazing and gives great support everywhere you need it. It's just the right amount of plushness and comfort without being too spongy. I've been sleeping great on it and the misses thinks the same. The quality is top notch and it doesn't feel cheap, which is important when you sleep on it every night. Would buy again! ... show more

Most of the mattress pads I've had in the past were relatively thin but did the job of adequately protecting the mattress. This one is thick and adds a layer of softness. My mattress is on the firm side so this adds a very comfortable layer for me but doesn't change the firmness that I need for back issues. This topper has breathed new life into my years old mattress. I'm a 230+ lbs guy that has made my mattress dip in the middle. This has fixed that and made it nice and plush. That being said, I have trouble recommending this. Most people will need something that is kind of, or very firm in order to have good spine alignment. On my 1st and 2nd night using this I was noticing that my neck and shoulders were a bit stiff when I woke up which had never happened to me. Nothing will be able to replace changing your mattress completely if it is old, but this can help you hold off until you have the funds. We've used memory toppers in the past and always had problems with them. They tend to be too soft without holding any type of shape while in use. This Serta topper has changed our view of mattress toppers for the good. Due to its 2" thickness and the way it's stitched on top, it provides a nice, comfortable addition to our mattress. It maintains its shape and doesn't just crumble up under the sheets. The first few nights were a bit warner than without this topper installed, but we welcomed the additional heat during these winter months. Sleep tested. Sleep approved! Don't get me wrong, my bed was comfortable before. This topper just elevated that comfort. It felt like I was sleeping on a fluffy yet not too noticeable comforter. The ONLY neg I can come up with is it keeps the warmth in reeeally well. I'm a cold sleeper so if I get hot I have a bad day the next day. That being said I just turned over when I got hot and kept sleeping. I woke up feeling amazing and no grumps so it passes the Lydia test!!! 😂 I have a california king size bed and RARELY do I find deep pocket sheets that fit BUT THIS THING this topper... Fit PERFECTLY! My bed is 15 inches high. The material is sooooo soft. I can't give it justice. The material used to hug the bed is a soft net type that streches with beautiful durability.
