I picked up the SereneLife Portable Air Cooler to help keep our enclosed patio and garage more comfortable during the summer, and it has exceeded my expectations. It puts out a surprising amount of airflow, and you can really feel the difference when it’s running. What impressed me most is how much air it moves. The 2200 CFM output does a great job circulating cool air through larger spaces. On hot days, it provides a refreshing breeze that helps make the heat much more manageable. The large 21-liter water tank is another feature I appreciate. It allows the cooler to run for extended periods without constantly needing refills, which is especially convenient during long afternoons outdoors. I also love the oscillation feature because it helps distribute the airflow evenly throughout the area instead of concentrating it in one spot. The remote control makes adjusting settings easy, and the timer is great for setting it to run automatically without having to remember to turn it off. Despite its powerful performance, it’s surprisingly easy to move around thanks to the portable design.     • Couldn't cool my bedroom better than 2 lousy degrees!

This device is over-rated and doesn't do what it promises at all. After setting it up carefully and making sure I was using it per the instructions (making sure the pump and second tube were submerged, making sure the room had ventilation to prevent a humidity build up which would have prevented the unit from evaporating cool water into the room, adding the ice packs, etc) the first night it only dropped my room from 74 degrees to 73 or 72. That's it. I tested the temp of the water in the tank and it was 63 degrees. So the second night I emptied the water completely and refilled it with water I had brought down to 40-45 degrees in my fridge - lots of water. I added 8 trays of ice cubes a total of 5 ice packs and ran it for another night. It still failed. 72 degrees that's all it could do. I could feel cool air leaving the vents of the unit but at any fan speed it just cannot effect a simple small bedroom. I am returning this for a full refund. ... show more

Got this for my 22 yr old son, tons of electronics in his room, on all the time and it's HOT, not warm, SWEAT HOT! Three fans on all the time, still hot. He has had it since Christmas Day, we live in SC for reference. We have not had a lot of days above 40 and so he hasn't used the AC yet but the fan alone, no ice packs, his room is about 9 degrees cooler than with all those fans before. And he DOES have a thermometer on his equipment to keep an eye on the equipment. I was really glad to see the water reservoir is HUGE! You can use MUCH larger ice packs than the 2 tiny ones they send. I have huge ones that come in packages that need ice, we are going to try. They should keep the water much colder and longer. The water reservoir is on WHEELS!!! How nice! You can just push it to the bathtub, use the shower head and fill it. No lifting! I'm not doing the lifting but YOU might want to know you don't have to carry 8 gallons of water! That was a HUGE bonus for me, you know, if it was for ME. I don't think he is even using water right now, just the fan, the fan is waterless. I am worried about the moisture with all of his gaming stuff but others said that it's not a problem. I'll include this in my future updates. He likes loud fans on at night, drown out my grandkids lol. He said the fan mode is quiet on 1 and 2 settings, you can here it, but its background, setting 3, he said, is loud (fan only, no a/c yet) but he is used to the "noise" and loves it now when he sleeps. I have yet to hear it on 3, will put that in my update in about 6 month's or so. It's a good size. In the pic he has it away from the wall, he's gaming right now. Normally it's pushed up against the wall. Takes up some room but really, not much. A lot less than 3 fans does! Hope this long review helped others!!! I try to include what I look for and don't.     • Does the job - pricey for the quality

It works as intended, however it is pretty inconvenient especially considering the price point: * The water pump isn't able to fully drain the water tank, so you'll always have standing water at the bottom, unless you manually pour it out * You'll need to detach the top half to empty out the tank. the pump is attached to the top half, and will still be submerged even if it can no longer pump water, meaning you'll have to deal with a lot of drippage when removing - not ideal if this is for indoor use. * The water tank is big (which is nice), but there are no included handles, meaning that it is very cumbersome to carry, especially when filled-up. The included castors are not very smooth, so if choosing to roll instead of carry, water will slosh around, and likely spill out. * no handles on the top part either, meaning that even together, it is a little cumbersome to move the unit around (especially filled with water) * The other included water intake option is very small compared to the tank and means that the unit is very annoying to fill up unless you have a hose * fans are loud (which can be a pro or a con) * no humidity sensor (more of a nice-to-have) ... show more

Bought this in Jan 2026 and used it until today (Aug 2026). It worked alright for the most part if I say it RIGHT next to me. I'm talking DIRECTLY next to me. I did have to refil it about every 3-4 days, which was a hassle, but it worked better than having an AC unit in the window that leaked whenever it rained. However, today (08/13), I noticed a large puddle of water underneath it on the floor. I quickly turned it off and emptied it to see if I could figure out where the puddle came from. I assumed it was coming out of the bottom or maybe the hose got kinked or something. After it dried out for about an hour I refilled it and tried it again and it immediately started leaking again from the TOP of the machine. The water was running down from some kind of resevoir at the top and leaking down the filters and onto my floor. I attempted to disassemble it but the way they install the top makes it nearly impossible to remove the top without breaking it so I just said, "Screw this!" and threw the whole thing in the trash! This thing is NOT worth it for how little it actually helps cool a room, the noise it makes, and the amount of space it takes up. All of this just to clog up on WATER after only 8 month of operation is ridiculous! It's going out to the dumpster TODAY! ... show more

Very strong air torrent. It is not for small rooms as even the 1 speed will blow strong into you from a 6 feet. When water switched on you can sense it becoming cooler. To a pleasant degree. I dont thinknit can cool the room but will cool u down if directly blowing into u :). Got my ac shut off and this saved me from spraying water in front of my regular fan. Downside: U basically cant use the ice packs regularly as there only 2 and u wont have 2 extra to keep exchanging.. Also there is no easy way to throw ice packs into the water bucket..unlike some other brands that have top lid to open..u need to detach the whole upside section from below section and throw then lock them again which is sth inwont be doing repeatedly.m The sleep mode..does not have any different speed from normal mode but i was expecting a very slow breez... The natural mode also randomly goes to 1 then 3.. and not at all a different mode.. either too fast or still fast!! Does it work. Yes..noise minimal pleasant. Looks also pretty. Id keep it if had easier ice exchange.. and sleep mode working. ... show more

The SereneLife Portable Swamp Cooler is definitely worth the purchasing price. It circulates and cools air quietly and effectively. Because of the casters, I can move the swamp cooler easily. I use the front water inlet box to fill the cooler with water. I choose to fill the tank to only 3/4 full because I notice that the gray water tank does a little bulging as I fill it. The cooler is easy to use. I choose to use the control panel to turn the cooler on, set the timer, wind speed and cooling all manually. However, there is a WIFI connection setup via the Smart Home App which would allow the user to control the cooler remotely with the app. I am very happy with this purchase. Thank you. ... show more

    • Not meant for humid climates

I guess it’s on me for not understanding what a swamp cooler is and how science works. I focused more on the portable AC unit and not having to have a window hose. If you’re in a dry climate, I’d say this would be more ideal. I live in Humid Houston where having the cooler/humidifier on just made the room stuffy and warm. It defeats the purpose of not using the “cooling” feature as I could just purchase a cheaper fan. Despite the humidity, the fan itself is pretty powerful. The 8-gallon water tank on wheels is super convenient for not having to transport a heavy machine around to different rooms - if I were able to use that feature. It has loud white noise on level 3 but level 1 and 2 is not that noticeable. Overall, this did not work for me and this review is for those deciding if they should purchase to consider the climate you’re in. This does not help in already humid environments. ... show more
