Lightweight and seemingly well designed I ordered two of these and they didn't work. The water cycled as it was supposed to so the theroy would have worked but both units I ordered started smoking when the fan was running and the motors burned out. The fans then wouldn't run subsequently. I am in England and these products came from the States so returning them is not economical, it costs the same to return them as the refund would have been. Amazon will only refund £15 of the return fee even though the product is defective. These units are now at the local tip. Caveat emptor when buying from distance.

I bought this portable ac cooling fan for my bedroom, and it's been a great addition during this hot summer. The 3 fan speeds and different cooling modes make it easy to adjust. Adding the included ice boxes noticeably improves the cooling effect, and the large water tank lasts a long time before needing a refill. I also like that it comes with a remote control, which is convenient when relaxing or sleeping. It's fairly quiet on the lower settings and doesn't take up much space. While it won't cool an entire apartment like a traditional air conditioner, it's a great option for cooling a small room. Not what I expected. Had to keep refilling over and over to keep it cool in a short time span. Started cooling at the beginning and it didn’t last long. My fan cooled better than this. The packs to keep it cold were cheap and started splitting.
