After all the hype about these headphones that I saw in YouTube reviews, I decided to give them a try since I consider music as a fundamental part of my life and my state of mind. I've been using them for a few weeks and I can say that they are my favorites. They have the perfect tuning to my taste, the music just sounds alive, it gives emotion and pleasure to listen through them. It's true that the treble can be a bit loud, but it never gets to the point of tiring or sibilance, I find it gives the music life and air. They are comfortable to wear for long hours and immerse yourself in your favorite songs. Cons: the ear tips that comes with the package do not work, they are really bad. They make these earphones sound flat and lifeless. I replaced them with some type e eartips and the difference is overwhelming. It bothers me that such an expensive product makes me spend extra money to make them sound like they should. Another point against it, I would like the cable to have a microphone and thus expand the range of use. In conclusion, I totally recommend them. *To the Sennheiser team, they must create new ear tips that really work.

I know the price is not exactly "low," but for an audiophile level and a premium pair of IEMs, the price is actually low. The sound is simply incredible. You will be able to hear every little detail in your music, even the parts of the music that are extremely busy, and that's my first and foremost requirement in an audio device before I can say it's great. Headphones and headsets like the Sony WH-1000XM4 and Samsung Buds2 Pro, they will muffle the sound in the background when there are multiple instruments being played at the same time, the IE 600 will let you hear everything. It delivers powerful bass while doesn't sacrifice the cleanness and sharpness of the treble, all while the vocals can still be easily understood. Most lower-level audio devices can give you two, but not all three. The only problem I have is with the cable, they are very stiff out of the box, they are difficult to shape to your ears, leading to loose connection between, especially in my case, the right earbud and the cable, the audio occasionally drops as I turned my head or even scratch my right face. The ear tips are not ideal either, it took me 6 to 7 swaps between different sizes and the silicone and foam tips before I finally find an ideal pair of ear tips that can sit comfortably in my ear canals and create a nice seal. The out of box experience is pretty terrible for a premium device like this one.

About the headphones themselves: they are some of the best you can buy. Sound quality is top-tier, comfort is probably the best I've tried. Incredible package and truly and endgame IEM. The eartips are mediocre and the cables are alright at best. It does come with a nice hardcase and 4.4mm balanced cable which is nice I guess but the overall cable quality is lacking. Highly recommend the Null Audio custom cables if you want to upgrade. Now to everything bad: These lasted about 2 weeks for me. At first I was convinced something was going wrong with the fit, the left IEM sounded like something was covering the opening. I could manipulate it and it would come back to life and then die out again. Tried different cables, ear tips, everything. I went to check online and this apparently is quite common! This truly floored me, I've owned probably 20+ IEM's and headphones, most made in China and cost less than half of what these did and I've yet to have ANY fail. This are made in Germany and are well above average in cost, arguably way too expensive in a world where Moondrop makes IEMs (see Blessing 2:Dusk, Variations). So I reached out to Sennheiser who quickly sent me an automated RMA packet with basically no instructions. I had to pay for shipping to get these sent out, but I didn't want to take the chance of returning only to get another bad set of IEMs. Reading online other people had just shipped back the bare headphones and had them quickly replaced. So I did the exact same, which cost me about $10 to ship to their QC department. Much to my excitement I received a package back from Sennheiser in about 5 days only to find they didn't even bother to open the package containing the IEM's and sent me a notice that I would have to send the ENTIRE original package back to complete this process. I quickly sent off an email to them explaining the situation, here I had PAID to return brand-new defective headphones which they rejected for repair based on not having the original box and presumably.....ear tips? Well it took about 5 days for them to respond and it was essentially an automated reply stating I would need to re-ship the headphones to them again with no further explanation. Screw that. Immediately shipped them back to the seller for a refund. World Wide Stereo was fantastic in paying for the return shipping and good instructions on how to do this. I'll consider buying these again in the future when I'm feeling brave but honestly what a garbage experience for a supposed 'high-end' product. In short, I would NOT buy these open box ever. My bet is they are defective returns. I will likely only consider getting them from authorized dealers with good return policies as well. If you get a good set you will be quite happy but good luck if you don't!

Introduction: I’ve had these IEMs for a year now and has been part of my main rotation of 5 iems. What initially pulled me to these iems were its fun and engaging bass, with till this date the most fun treble I've heard in an IEM. All this in a single DD, this IEM is what single handedly made me dismiss driver meming and have the mindset “if it sounds good it sounds good”. Comfy, but needs to insert a specific way to get a good fit. Unable to deeply fit this IEM. Tip rolling is rather difficult with this pair since the nozzle is a bit short and the shell is weird. However, being shaped the way it is makes ie600 the most comfortable IEM I have tried thus far. IE600 can bring a fun sub bass experience with at the time of this writing unrivaled treble based on what I've listened to thus far. Build & comfort: Comfy, but needs to insert a specific way to get a good fit. I am unable to deeply fit this IEM, which is my preferred way to use IEMs since it allows me to “feel” like I have a proper IEM fit. Regardless of this fact the IE600 remains the comfiest IEM I have ever used thus far. Build wise, I love it; it has a compact metal shell. It is sturdy as I've stated I've had it for a year, and I don't see any visible scratches. My only nitpick on the build is the nozzles. It’s a bit intimidating due to the filter clinging onto particles like its life depended on it. Although it is easy to clean with the brush on a cleaning tool. Personally, I don’t mind the MMCX being the option, since all the choices like qdc and 2 pins all have their own pros and cons. My only Gripe with the mmcx was finding a cable I liked to go with the IEM. I ended up getting a custom cable. Cable: I strongly dislike this cable... It feels like a cheap cable which is absurd considering the price of the IEM. The cable is stiff and sturdy. Feels terrible to touch, kind of like a rubber watering hose. The ear hooks were not good on either of the cables that came with the IEM. They pretty much did their own thing, which made it very unpleasant. I’ve read it can be fixed with a hair dryer but that's not something I should have to do to fix a cable... The cable is also non-modular; however, this is the reason for two cables. Somehow the cable even manages to be microphonic, especially when rubbing against my own skin. Bass: This is the second-best aspect of the IEM. As someone who prefers sub bass, this IEM does bass rather well. The Sub bass is deep and dynamic, whilst not lacking attack. For mid bass-oriented people, it’s possible the IEM lacks the amount of attack they would want. The attack is enough to know it's there. However, the mid bass lacks the physicality and attack that is seen from a lot of mid bass-oriented sets. As I stated, the mid bass is enough for me personally. I will add the bass on the graph is deceptive. Based on the graph I would think the IEM has a lot more bass than it sonically has. It’s not really a problem, but it can be misleading, especially for blind buyers like me. However, I am glad it doesn't have more bass than what it has, the reason being the bass would mask the other aspects of the music. For example, the Punch audio Martillo has this problem where it has a lot of bass, and I mean a lot. However, the mids are too recessed to the point the bass masks the mids (the treble is still fine). The bass is tastefully done to the point where it adds to the experience rather than takes from the experience. Additionally, I will add the bass is sufficient but not in the basshead territory. Mids: Vocals are a bit recessed; however, it's tastefully done. There are a lot of V/U shaped iems which make the mids/vocals feel too recessed (Punch audio martilo as an example). Generally, the Timbre sounded correct. There were rare situations where I heard an issue in the timbre. Which possibly could have been the track itself. The Male vocals were more recessed than the female vocals, but it's still presented well. I never found the vocals to be too recessed. IE600 does this very well, because as I stated earlier other V/U shaped IEMs tend to make vocals sound too recessed which leads to hollow / vocals that sound like they are in another room. I also had an easy time being able to pick up more details in the mids which is attributed to the amount of treble there is. However, there were more than just most details in the instruments. There was also more detail than normal in the vocals, which is cool to hear. Also to add, don't expect to be wowed by the vocals, this isn’t this IEMs strong suit. Treble: Disclaimer: I have yet to have any issues with treble being too much or fatiguing. Treble is by far my favorite thing on the IE600. However, the treble is what makes this IEM too difficult to recommend. Reason being, there is a lot of treble. So much treble that I wouldn't be surprised if most people would get fatigued from it. Bright side is if you have treble resilience like I do, then the IE600 is a phenomenal IEM in the treble. It’s able to be detailed, fun, energetic and sparkly all in 1 IEM! This allows for the ie600 to be the most engaging IEM I have tried thus far. The only issue I have with the treble is sometimes the presentation of the cymbals is too much (its track dependent). Technicalities: Disclaimer: I have never heard soundstage or head stage yet in an IEM. However, the imaging and details on the IE600 are phenomenal. I was easily able to tell when an instrument was being played in any direction, or the singer/music does the weird directional audio thing that mimics 360 audio. It was rather pinpointed. Furthermore, with most IEMs i have a hard time telling when something is in front or behind me, but with the IE600 I did not have this issue at all. Pertaining to details, there was a lot of presence of details in the mids and treble area. Mostly with vocals and instruments. Unfortunately, the bass did not have many details, but I have only experienced that with the punch audio martilo. In terms of instrument separation, the IE600 does a good enough job. You won’t have the issue of anything being masked or blending in a negative way. Conclusion: IE600 at the time of writing is currently my favorite single DD iem. It does everything well if you can deal with the treble. There are aspects of the IEM that can be improved; Notably, pushing up the male vocals a tad, better mid bass quality, and better timbre. Other than that, the IEM is great, and I can see it being some people's end game since it can do pretty much every genre well. Can I recommend it to a blind buy? The answer is no, due to the treble famously being too fatiguing for people. Therefore, if you are interested in the IE600 i recommend demoing it before purchasing. Reason being, as I stated earlier if you as an individual can handle the treble, I think the IE600 is a solid IEM overall.

I'll start with the bad because I don't think anyone should try their luck with these headphones... I've been through FOUR pairs of these headphones and dealt with Sennheiser's AWFUL customer service each time. They take weeks to respond, make you pay for shipping, and, worst of all, the same issue happens repeatedly. My left earbud would gradually lose sound and wholly stop producing sound. I've tried different amps, devices, wires, you name it. Every time, within less than a few months, the sound would stop working. I want to give up and accept the loss here because it's so taxing having to give so much effort to get a good pair of "high-quality" headphones. If you want to try your luck, and I still suggest you don't, here are the good things... The sound is outstanding and really allows you to enjoy what you're listening to. On top of that, the comfort of the earpieces was perfect for me and felt so light. They include multiple tips in the box to try and adjust your ear shape as well. They really are great headphones. It's just a shame that this issue I'm experiencing is so common.

I use these IEMs for live performance. For me, the response is excellent, especially great for bass and male vocals. Great clarity. I love how small they are. So amazing out of a single dynamic driver. However, there is something inherently wrong with the proprietary cable. Sound drops out intermittently requiring me to jiggle the 3.5 mm connector in the jack to get it to work. Obviously this is not great for live performance. The issue is very bad with the Xvive belt pack receivers (I thought the issue was the receiver, so I bought another one and found out the issue WASN'T the receiver. Other members of the band use Xvive with Mackie and Shure IEMs without issue. The problem is getting progressively worse and now is occurring on Shure belt packs.) I got these for $600 and now they are $800 with a known problem that Sennheiser isn't correcting? Lame.

Been using the Sennheiser IE 600 for the better part of the last 3 weeks and all I can say those are magical IEM. My source is the Sony NW-ZX707 Japan version. They are used with the the 4mm balanced cable, the bass is clear and pronounced, more emphasized on the sub bass, no muddiness or over bearing. the mids are centered and gives a nice soundstage in vocals "male and female". The highs are crisp and not over bearing. This could be not the cup of tea for some but this can be EQed easily. I have tried the IE 900 and I preferer the sound of the 600 over them. Specially I got those for $499 on Amazon. If you're looking for a Hi-Res IEM those should NOT be overlooked.
