  • Great affordable lawn mower
Set name: 22"-201cc
Great lawnmower so far, I have only used it one time but it was easy to assemble and started right up after putting gas and oil it. I was able to cut wet thick grass with ease. The lawn mower is pretty light and easy to use. The handle height is adjustable and is plenty high enough for a taller person being over 6 foot tall. I would definitely recommend especially with the price point and way more powerful than other more expensive lawn mowers. ... show more

  • Perfect and budget friendly
Set name: 20"-144 cc
Mower arrived quickly, packaging was very good. All pieces present, and came with a bottle of oil so there was no need to go to the automotive store. It was easy to assemble, and I like that it is very simple and straight forward. It has started up and run steadily from the first pull each time, and this mower cut the yard with very little effort. Noise is about what you’d expect for a push mower. Height is not adjustable without removing and reinstalling the wheels for the model I got, but I have no need to adjust it now that it’s all together. It navigates around obstacles easily for the lightweight version. This was a solid and economical purchase that will last a good long time as long as non-ethanol gas is used! Recommend for those looking for simple and budget-friendly! ... show more

  • instructions don't say where to put gas and oil and it's not labeled on the mower
Set name: 20"-144 cc
I regret buying this lawn mower. It arrived three days ago and I still have not figured out how to use it. First, do not buy this lawn mower if you have never owned a lawn mower before. Second, do not buy this lawn mower if you have never put a lawn mower together before. In no part of the listing nor in any part of the instructions does it tell you what tools you need. Before buying this I did not own the needed tools. You will need a 10mm socket wrench and a 13mm socket wrench and a crescent wrench to assemble this. a second 13mm socket wrench with a second handle will help as well as a 12mm socket wrench with that same second handle. I did it with just the 13mm and the 10mm and the crescent wrench. Make sure your crescent wrench can open up to 13mm. I attempted to borrow a set of American sockets from a friend but they didn't fit so I had to spend $25 to buy a set of metric socket wrenches on Amazon as Walmart had none and Home Depot and Lowes had only expensive sets (both over $50). So that took me two days of going back and forth trying to figure out what tools I needed. It would have been so helpful if they only had listed those items with the advertisement so that you are prepared. I had no idea what size sockets I would need so I ordered a 3mm to 13mm set and found out by trial and error. I could have just purchased the two size sockets individually had I known ahead of time the size I needed and done that for $10 but their lack of consideration cost me the extra $15. I recommend doing this on a patio table or some such as that will make it easier to install the wheels. But you can do it on a garage floor or driveway. Unfortunately the instructions are in very tiny writing. I am a senior citizen and I had to combine 2.75 dptr reading glasses with a 3X magnifying glass to read everything. the diagrams are also quite tiny so it is difficult to see. There is no clear picture of what screws you have to use on what part. I learned by trial and error. Total assembly time once I had the tools was two hours. I have never put together anything mechanical. If you have experience putting lawn mowers together and have a more extensive set of tools you will probably do this in less time. Now for the reason why I have not yet used this lawn mower. The instructs are incomplete and and are ONLY designed for people with experience using and maintaining lawn mowers. If that is not you then you probably should not get this lawn mower. In absolutely no place in the instruction manual, box, on the listing, in the one video that accompanied the listing or anywhere on YouTube could I figure out where the gas or the oil goes. Now this might seem obvious to anyone with experience using lawn mowers. But despite being 65 years old, I have never until now attempted to use a lawn mower that had a motor in it. My old one was completely manual and it just couldn't do the job. None of my immediate neighbors speaks English and my friend who loaned me the American wrench set does not have a lawn and knows nothing about lawn mowers. It would be nice if at least it was labeled on the lawn mower itself but it is not. So I am taking a risk. If I put the oil and the gas both in the wrong place I think I will probably ruin the engine or perhaps start a fire. Now if you have lots of lawn mower experience this might be a good deal for you. But I could not tell you since I have not yet figured out to how to get it going as there is no oil and gas in it yet. I absolutely cannot recommend this lawn mower for the above reasons. ... show more

  • Initial thoughts -- Great mower with one easily fixed flaw
Set name: 20"-144 cc
Nice mower which has plenty of power but has one flaw which you should fix before using. The issue is with the large rear guard. Since it is so large you can't pull the mower backwards. When you do the guard goes under the mower and the blades eat the guard. So I just cut mine using a scissors to two inches and all is well. It was an odd design flaw and clearly no one used the mower or maybe the engineers being engineer only move forward. Whatever. Also the directions suggest attaching the wheels to the highest mounting hole. That makes the blades 1/8 inch above the ground which the grass will not like. Put them on the lowest hole. Again, who used this first? ... show more

  • Good Mower with bad manufacturing.
Set name: 20"-144 cc
I'm gonna give this in the middle as far as a rating. YOU HAVE TO ASSEMBLE for anyone thinking this comes assembled ready to go. YOU ALSO HAVE TO PUT OIL IN IT, for anyone not knowing this. I'm early in the process but its cutting grass. Pros - 1. For the Money, you get more than you pay for. I could not find any other mower at this price point. Lowes and Home Depot cheapest IN-STORE were $50-$100 more with less powerfull engine. 2. Assembly is for the most part easy but you will probably want a 2nd set of hands available to help. To make things faster you may want to use your own tools. Instructions tell you what to do but arent absolutely the greatest. 3. Mower is very lightweight and not hard to push or manuever whatsoever. 4. I had no missing parts in my order and received everything in the box packaged well. 5. They provide a bottle of oil to use which is a plus. 6. Depends on your preference but a different color scheme then most push mowers. Cons 1. Tools they give you for assembly will make it take longer to assemble. 2. Manual could definately be better for installation. 3. THIS IS MY BIGGEST CON. My unit would not start after initial setup. Installed the oil and filled the gas tank. Primed it up and nothing. After maybe 30 minutes i found that the starter cord was not pulling the starter lever enough on the back of the engine. After pulling the cord back toward me more and installing some zip ties it did the trick and started right up. That is a manufacturer defect and should not have been passed through quality control. Overall thoughts - You wont find another mower at this price point new. It does not have a bagger but it never stated it did in the first place. Installation really isnt bad but Manual could be better. So far it runs and cuts great. My personal issue with my unit not starting at first definately takes some stars off as i had to create my own fix. If your mower isnt starting check your starter cable and make sure your prime it. ... show more

  • Very good so far
Set name: 20"-125cc
I bought this mower because I wanted a simple trouble free machine. Self propells are heavy and trouble prone. It took me an hour to put it together but I am 82 so a bit slow. I advise anyone that does not have a pretty good level of mechanical experience and a metric tool kit to buy one of the other two models, they are much easier to assemble. I can tell by some of the negative feedback that improper assembly caused many of the problems. Additionally, I only plan to use one height setting, taking the wheels off to change the height would be a real pain. The box arrived on time and all parts were there and in good shape. The assembly instructions are pretty good, but there are a few things to be careful with. The first step is to bolt on the lower handles, look at figure 6 to see that they flare out, not in. When installing the wheel figure 4 is misleading, the bolt or axel goes into the wheel and the bushing and nut go on inside. Be sure to really tighten the nuts and bolts. I don’t think the trailing shield is designed properly, if you use it don’t back up the mower. I put ln all the oil that came in the bottle, and filled the tank with non ethanol gas. Note I checked the foam air filter and it was already lightly oiled. The oil and gas caps came off easily. I pressed primer 3 times and the mower started with 3 pulls. I mowed for an hour and it never worked hard even though the grass was quite high in places. I was surprised that it was so powerful. The cut was very even. The Briggs and Stratton operators manual is useless, it was actually laughable. Looking ahead I would like to know if anyone found where you can buy a replacement blade just in case Senix doesn’t sell them. Hope this was helpful and I will write again if problems crop up. ... show more
