The old shell game at work . After trying one bulb on a special introductory 99 cents, and successfully pairing it with my home we were sold, we were ready to go "all in" and buy more...these two were the first a coffee maker was next...but then...after two days of mostly wonderful use...they stopped working, Alexa by voice or via the app could not locate the "devices' as the lights are called. She could no longer turn them on or off. Thy went from being real cool voice command lights into...just light bulbs...expensive light bulbs. Today I spent 6 hours...researching fixes and trying them all...powering down and back up the Echos...deleting the once paired (but can no longer be found by Alexa) lights via the app and reinstalling them as new. Alexa Echo connects once, but then...cannot locate them again. I even went to the amazon help desk...who asked me to try from a different location...Alexa on my computer! The computer would not discover the lights AT ALL. Customer Service rep asked me to TRY A DIFFERENT COMPUTER! So...to repeat...my Echo once paired these, and occasionally will find them again (when I delete the lights and do a "discover devices" but then cannot locate them to do anything, my app shows that same information, and my computer (working in tandem with the Echo...cannot discover them...and CUSTOMER SERVICE WANTS ME TO TRY ANOTHER COMPUTER!?!? No, friends....I am grateful I decided to wait a day before I ordered my Alexa pairing Coffee Maker! HORRIBLE PRODUCT...their customer service does not even know that to do (check the internet where I spent the first five hours looking for fixes). Friends...DO NOT BUY. ... show more

I like these bulbs. I got the first one on an Amazon special and have bought a couple more. When they are working, they work well, but they have odd glitches. Sometimes I can ask Alexa to turn them on or off and she'll say they are not responding but they turn on or off like I ask. Sometimes the app shows they are not connected and I don't know why. There is a way to reset them if they become disconnected or not paired anymore but I had some issues with one not connecting even after several attempts so I removed it both from the light and the app and started over. Overall, they are cool to have as I want them in my ceiling fans so I can leave the fan on during the warmer weather but not have to keep pulling the cord to turn the light not. I have my living room one set to come on at dusk, but I haven't figured out how to set it to go off in the morning. It is cool that you can be away from home and turn them on and off via the app. One thing I also found is that when the internet modem went off due to an outage, they came on until it was back online and I had to reset them to turn off. It happened in the middle of the night and the one in my room woke me up. Just be aware of some of these little glitches that happen with this kind of technology. ... show more

I purchased the Bluetooth Multi Color version of this light bulb. It does not require and will not work with the Sengled Hub or Sengled Home apps. It is integrated directly to work inside of the Alexa app only. Since it uses Bluetooth to connect and create a Mesh Network, it does not have or use Wi-fi or your internet router. Instead it relies on your Alexa device and other Bluetooth bulbs to communicate between each of them. They are very simple to set up and mine stay connected without any issues. Always quick to respond to when in color mode they are still bright. The default color is Soft White, which is the brightest, but can be changed to 5 different 'warm' levels. Since this uses the Alexa App there is no color wheel available and cannot cycle through colors automatically. Instead you get a pre-set 15 shades of color. ... show more

I have an Echo Show in my bedroom and these lights do not always stay connected. I've had to reset them many times, sometimes when I reset them they still don't work immediately after but there doesn't seem to be any pattern to why they lose connection. Sometimes they will not respond to my routine and then respond when I tell Alexa to turn the lights off, sometimes they will not respond to Alexa voice commands but respond when I turn them off on my Alexa app on my phone and sometimes they do not respond to anything. ... show more

Update: not even a week after writing the review below ALL FOUR light bulbs have gone "offline" again and have to be reset. Purchased on Feb 11, 2021. Such a waste of time. Should have purchased more alexa plugs instead of these. So we bought these as they are fully compatible with the Alexa app and didn't need a secondary app. They are great when they work, but they go "unresponsive" more often than I would like. When they go unresponsive you have to remove the bulb and place it in a fixture with a physical switch (such as a vanity light fixture) and then quickly turn it on/off 5 times until it resets. Once they are reset you remove them from the fixture and place them back in their original spot and tell Alexa to "discover devices". Once they are discovered in the Alexa app you have to manually add them back to any routines you've created. It's just a huge pain and waste of time. And I have no idea what causes them to go unresponsive. Seems totally random. Sometimes I've had just one or two go off and most recently all 4 were disconnected somehow. ... show more

DO NOT BUY - read below Just like the multitude of other customers, barely speaking english support could only suggest me turning it on and off again leading to zero progress in syncing it. If you rapidly turn the bulb on and off 10 times, it flashes indicating its resetting the bluetooth for itself. Tried it 4 times then said screw it. Originally got it as part of a bundle with a gen 3 echo dot as i've never had either. Few days later, after deciding to buy another echo dot and 2 more bulbs before this issue started... the light desyncs and won't reconnect. Pretty sure the amount of heat it puts off fried whatever bluetooth the things got in it. Nice scam to get me to waste money! TL;DR it's a fat waste of money unless you're constantly not turning your lights on. ... show more
