I replaced a Yamaha 5C mouthpiece with this Semer Concept mouthpiece. The Yamaha mouthpiece would not play the palm keys on my Eastar Soprano saxophone, they were suddenly either a half tone sharp or an octave low. This was very strange since the Yamaha mouthpiece was fine below the palm keys. I could not find anything wrong with the pads or octave key. The Concept mouthpiece played the Eastar Sax palm keys in tune effortlessly. It also plays all the keys right to the bottom evenly with good intonation. This is one excellent mouthpiece. Really plays in tune!! Gives a very rich sound. Has great power. Easy to play highs and lows with this mouthpiece. It fits the sound I'm going for ( R&B, Soul, Jazz, blues music).

Great mouthpiece. Compared to my 4C, it is a lot more easy blowing (playing on 3.5 traditional) , and feels like it brings more "color" into my soprano. My prof crowns the Soprano Concept "The Perfect Soprano Saxophone Mouthpiece". I attached an image of the baffle, since at first I was puzzled if the baffle pattern was normal. This mouthpiece is amazing after trying different ones over the years I believe I have found my favorite, this mouthpiece deserves a solid five out of five, but mine came with a scratch on top and some missing paint, it’s terrible after paying about $200 and still have these defects , I then proceeded to order a second one, but the second one did not sound the same, it was a tiny bit brighter and middle C for some reason was lowe volume and muffled, luckily I still had the one with the defects , so I sent back the new one and kept the old one with the scratches, The scratches and paint don’t matter to me because the mouthpiece place amazing. The strange thing about it that I bought the same mouthpiece from the same seller and one came with a different letter engraved inside the mouthpiece ,the one I love has AF , the one I return has OT “see photos” ... show more

This mouthpiece is excellent. Outstanding tone quality and responsiveness. The price was good, comparitively speaking as the US vendor price was twice that of Oriduru, though I believe that mouthpiece prices are quite inflated for the so-called premium brands, especially when most of the work is done by digital machines. ... show more
