I've got like 3 selfie sticks fro different brands and this is my favorite so far. The tripod is halfway useless - it's nice to have, but if you extend any selfie stick more than 6" or so, the phone makes it too top-heavy to be stable in a recording. But that's fine, it's just a nice to have side feature. If you really want a stable tripod, get a tripod. This stick is VERY stiff. It's almost hard to smoothly extend it to the length you want. But the tradeoff is there's no play at all in the telescoping mechanism, which is a problem with other sticks. Even fully extended it's rock solid, and that's important for a good recording. My only complaint is the remote control is just held on with a small magnet. I've already lost it. It's conveniently placed and it's nice that you can remove it to hold it in your hand like if you do actually use the tripod. But it needs a better latching mechanism to keep it from getting knocked off. Be aware if you're going to use it outdoors. ... show more

I love this new gadget! My favorite feature is the remote photo taker. So often someone has to run back to the photo after pressing the timer button on their phone. With the remote, you just pair it to your phone and click when readyโ€ฆsuper easy and convenient. I also love that I can turn the phone downwards to take pics of things lying on the countertop or table. Great for recording cooking recipes or taking pictures of old pictures. I know I will find so many uses beyond the actual selfie stick feature, which extends really far! I highly recommend this product. The only negative, the phone holder unscrews for you to place your phone in. I would prefer it had a stretchy holder. But for the price, great! ... show more

Contacted the seller and received a same day response and they are replacing the unit. Will update after testing the new unit. The swivel head would not hold my digital camera and just barely my cell phone. The camera would drop forward as soon as it was released and if I hit a bump using it with my cell phone it would change the camera angle on the swivel mount.
