Bluetooth enabled and easy to pair. The only thing that's bluetooth is the removable trigger positioned opposite pole of the tripod area. That black trigger is what you charge so it is rechargeable but I have not tried to test how long it will last since it's only function is to trigger the picture taking. The body/holder is sturdy and firm and I have an iphone 11 (not pro not max) the body/holder IS adjustable and it's hardened plastic so I don't anticipate any cosmetic damage although my phone is wrapped with an otterbox defender case so yes it does fit with an otterbox defender case. The small tripod that came with it works but you have to position the iphone in the middle of the holder for the legs to hold it or else it will tip over depending on the positioning bias. The other thing I love about this is that it fits your standard DSLR or hand held camera tripod holder (the screw hole on the botton) It does come with a neoprene bag which is fancy looking. It also comes with a short charging cable. I haven't tried the range of the bluetooth trigger. What made this product a 4 STAR instead of a perfect FIVE is because it does NOT have any "tilt" feature on the holder and tripod itself and the included tripod is flimsy. The tripod legs cannot be placed into a "fixed" position but it automatically squats as soon as you put the phone on it because of the weight. =( ... show more

So much better than the previous version that I returned. It doesn't give out an astonishing "Clack sound" at all. It is convenient for higher quality cell phone photography. It is still fairly heavy. However, I expect that will improve as well. It may be a challenge for the new larger phones. It has a bonus in the form of a small removable push-button for such as tripod group shots. Cool as they used to say. I recommend a piece of artist's tape to secure it further on the device. It is heavy but I find that I carry the accessory attached everywhere. Great improvement and useful indeed. You can revoke my comments about the earlier version. I love this little thing. It's a great way to make taking pictures on your phone feel more like a real camera and make it much easier to hold steady. Bluetooth connects easily and the battery is large enough to go multiple days, with light use, without having to charge it regularly. The only problem I have run into is that, after connecting the tripod once or twice, the threaded insert stripped out of the plastic. I tried to glue it back in with two different kinds of glue and both of them failed pretty quickly. I think the plastic where the insert connects is too smooth so any glues don't actually have anything to grip onto. For $20, it was a great investment. I can still use it for handheld pictures with no issues. The only issues is if I wanted to use it with a tripod. ... show more

I love that you can slap your Smartphone in to this and makes it feel like your holding a camera. With the shutter button function. The yellow body is very well made..The phnoe clamp spring is very tight, so your phone is snug the tripod handle is also well made, only problem is it's not very stable you have a larger size phone it serves as a handle great. The bluetooth button on top can be taken off and used as a remote it is also a quility button unlike some past buttons I've used. I highly recomend this to those who like the feel of a real camera for when they take pictures. ... show more

In July my wife and I took a few selfies on a vacation with my iPhone X and it was a bit iffy because of how hard it is to hold the phone & take a picture, even in a case. In addition we often supplement our 35mm photos and vidcam video with iPhone shots. The Adonit Photogrip really helps make our selfies more secure and pictures easier. To make holding my expensive iPhone even more secure I have added a Pastall 25cm Wrist Strap available on AMAZON, All I had to do was drill a small hole for the strap on the end of the Photogrip that is opposite the shutter switch. I shoot a lot of video for work but on my own, I like using my smartphone; less stuff, lighter carry, less risk of equipment theft. I got this grip to able to take more stable pics and overall it works fine. I have a OnePlus 7 Pro in a case, and the grip can handle it... just barely. The BT shutter works fine and the included tripod works well as a mini handle/support. I wish there was a hook or slot to use the included neckband with the grip itself. This would make an additional safety line if you accidentally dropped the grip+phone. ... show more
